No updates on my fiber availability page, but seeing the trucks is a good sign!.
I thought so too, but I saw trucks on my street months ago and still continue to have my estimate changed every month, as if by a short shell script.

The project management team's goal is to keep the dates which are then displayed in our Member Tools fiber status section as accurate as we can.

By that measure, they aren't meeting their goal. My estimated date has changed 8 times since April. In each case I've been told that I'm a month away from having service, but here I am 8 months later, being told that I'm a month away from having service, even after conversations with Sonic employees who told me the obstacles had been cleared and they are now just proceeding with installations in the order in which they are dispatched ..read more

We also use YouTube TV, and find its service to be as good as, if not better than, traditional wireline cable offerings. In addition to Dane's comments, we enjoy being able to use it when we travel. When we're in another area, we see the channels local to that area, but any scheduled recordings continue for us to review at a later time.
If you go to YT TV's home page and scroll down, you can enter your zip code to see what's offered for that location. I entered a Mill Valley zip code and NBC Sports Bay Area, as well as NBC Sports California, are listed as part of the standard service.

I’ve been using YouTubeTV and have been very satisfied with it. Only complaint is the price, which I think is now up to around $75. But the DVR, portability, and Google account integration are great. Channels available seem to be pretty comprehensive.

The Ancestral Estate (i.e. my mom's house in Marin County) is receiving flyers to hook up Sonic's 10Gb fiber service. I would like nothing more than to help tell AT&T and Comcast to take a flying leap. However, for this to be acceptable to the household, there would have to be a suitable replacement for the "traditional" cable TV service. In particular, it would have to carry NBC Sports Bay Area, which broadcasts the San Francisco Giants games.
YouTube TV seems like it would work, but I'd like to get some feedback from other users on which live TV streaming services people are using with ..read more

Oh I've already signed up for the temporary location, currently waiting in pre-construction. I was just curious about my home when we move back in a year.

Up and running but I have speed problems, I'll open a separate topic about that.
Bummer to hear about performance issues (although it does sound like your network equipment is your bottleneck in the other thread), but I am glad to hear parts of Concord already have service live. I am in Dana Estates and signed up around when you did, but I am still waiting (estimate still says December). I do regularly see Sonic related construction signs so I am hopeful it will be ready soon!

Thank you, Joe.
Everything works as it should, now, and I have another thing to add to my check list for the next time I transfer a domain.

Hi Peter,
Please see my response to your other post in the Labs section -- your previous registration setup at Google Domains had a DNSSEC Domain Signing (DS) key set up that stayed in place when the domain transferred over to us. (This is expected behavior, because your registrar may not be the same as your Authoritative DNS provider, so those records need to stay in place to ensure the domain continues to resolve.) The downside to switching DNS providers is that unless the configuration is imported or configured ahead of time, critical records such as the RRSIG will be missing at the new DN ..read more
