I plan on upgrading the server that runs the SG website currently. I have a new server running, and plan on moving the entire website, databases, forums, network tools, etc. to it. I've already started some background work, compiled the analyzer software on the new server, started updating old php code, etc. The move will be done in parts, it will take a week or so, and there will be some issues. The new server runs much newer versions of the required back end software, i.e. Apache, PHP, MariaDB, etc. This means that the current forum software (vBulletin 4) will not run on it at all. Last week after having my telemedicine appt my doctor sent me in for some blood work. I just got the Medicare summary of charges and one of the line items was $20 for "Handling and/or conveyance of specimen for transfer from office to laboratory". They freakin' charged me a delivery fee for my specimen to be delivered to the lab! I guess they weren't making enough and decided to tag on another fee. so it's time for me to build a new PC it seems as though the PC in my signature is acting sketchy and is still running windows 7, i think now is a good time to build new. the only thing i will be reusing are some hard drives , SSD's and for no w my vega64 graphics card. list of parts i have chosen, what looks like it will not work together here, still need to get a copy of windows 10. this build will be for random uses, gaming, media creation, general stuff, might be overkill but my last build lasted 10 years so i don't mind spending some money up front now to avoid having to upgrade later ..read more

The blade on my Ninja BL454 was acting up. I was feeling heat on the blade axle after making a smoothie for quite a while, then the other day it almost wouldn't turn at all. It sounded funny and would not turn at a consistent high speed. I could hardly turn it by hand. I bought a replacement blade on amazon for $13.50 and it came in today, but I couldn't get it connected to one of my jars because the new gasket needs to be seated deeper into the blade housing.
