I love plants and we have several. We only have two fake plants
one for a pot that we have on an antique table. I posted the table
years ago after we restored it due to water damage from a real plant.
...another small fake plant on the floor cause the pot opening is too small
to fit a real plant in it.
First I want to show you my Meyer lemon tree..
It was a Christmas Present from our son. It was just full
of flower buds that have popped into lemons.
Hubby counted 20 lemons this morning...

Hello everyone.
My wife and I are stumped on how to make our living room not feel like it was thrown together by college students.
here’s a picture. We just got the two leather couches and are planning on removing the big blue couch when we have room to place it elsewhere in the house. Any ideas on layout? We are willing to change anything and everything.
We also intend to put a small to medium dining table in between the kitchen island and the living room. Everything feels cramped right...

Hello Everyone. I want to buy duvet covers for my master bedroom. So I want some recommendations from where I can purchase it online but the exceptional thing with me is that I have limited budget and I prefer to buy branded duvet covers which are not too expensive. I prefer to those advices which are experienced personally and share links if you shopped from there. Thanks to all in advance ..read more

My last couch was a nice big sectional from one of the big boxes. A $2500 (list) couch that I got for like $500 and was like new. My spot was noticeably used after a year and needed additional support beneath my cushion after a couple years. It was constructed with 1x2, 1x1, and low quality glulam looking stuff. So cheap.
My current couch is a higher end deal I got at a garage sale for cheap. Near new, down feather everything, and some kind of real leather. and my seat is already sunken in...

It seems to me that 52" is the standard at least. I have no clue about efficiency and all that. That's probably a non-factor since the majority of fan blades are just flat. From my personal experience, it seems that a fan diameter between 1/3 and 1/2 the room width is the sweet spot for a proportionally appropriate fan size. I have a 52" i my smallest 10x12 bedroom and it suits the room nicely. I have a 60" in a room that's 11x11 and it's nice. All the so called "recommended fan size" charts...

I few places I checked said that 99% of the time, the baseboard/casing/crown molding/chair rail should all match.
I wanted to do oak for all, and also the interior doors. But for various reasons I finally decided that wasn't the best route for me, so I'm doing painted now.
The house was mostly yellow before, and then a dark blue for chair rail and a little bit of trim and shelf about a foot down from the ceiling in one room.
Planning to change the wallpaper - not sure what it will be, yet...

Hi guys, I'm planning on reorganizing my bedroom completely so any kind of advice will be helpful since i have zero knowledge about interior design, matching colors, contrast etc. Here are my initial ideas:
Since there are lots of wooden elements I would like to change the bed covers, lazy bag, carpet (maybe?), and lighting (it's definitely too bright for such a small room 14m^2/150feet^2), it stands out too much imo. The door frame and the walls will probably be different color also...

From a long term decor perspective, I am trying to decide if it I should change all my light switches and electrical outlets to be "White" in color. I am slowing repainting and updating the house and some of the electrical outlets could use refreshing. Everything is currently Ivory with a few Light-Almond and White mixed in. Of course the best color is a personal choice and I don't need help in figuring that out. If every product was available in every color the choice would be easy and...
