This isn't the best picture, but the accent tile strip at the back of the shower is centered on the tiled portion of the back wall, not what will become the shower stall. There will be no ledge on the left. So as you are looking in you the shower stall itself, just encompassing the space above the black floor tiles, the accent strip will be to the left. Is there any right way to do this? Frameless shower doors going in, so there will be maximum "see through" to appreciate the full width...

I have several floor lamps and they all have metal base covers. What's underneath though is a plastic mold filled with what looks like cement/concrete. The lamp bases can last up to more than a decade if they don't get moved or rarely get moved. But they do have to get moved when the floor is cleaned, and that's regularly. Floor lamps that get moved frequently last only a few years before their plastic and the cement inside crumbles.
Having to shell out $35-$60 every few years for a floor...

Hi All,
I have a 5' by 22" panorama picture that I had printed. It came out so nice. I tried to hang it like a poster, but that is not working out for me. I would like to purchase framing materials and assemble it at home as 5'-6' would be expensive and difficult to transport. Any suggestions on what they call the framing materials and how I can get them on the cheap... short of just using regular wood molding? I live in a condo and do not have a great workbench. I have more tools...

I have recently had a wooden swivel/rocker chair recovered in a yellowish tone on tone fabric that appears mustand color in some lights. We also bought a Lazy boy recliner Chestnut color. I am going to recover the matching softa that goes with the wooden rocker in the same material as the rocker. I do not think these colors necessarily go together, how can I make them blend together ?? With accessories?? Paint ..read more

I have to replace my kitchen faucet. It seems like the trend in faucets is to be much higher with the lever on the side. Should I take the opportunity to upgrade to something more trendy? Maybe a black one? Would that upgrade the whole vibe of my kitchen or would it look silly in my tiny little kitchen? Or should I stuck with what works and buy something similar? I am very happy with the current functionality ..read more
