Katherine Center is one of my auto-read authors! Her unique combo of humor and heart delivered through expert storytelling and dialogue never fails to make me laugh and swoon. As soon as I sat down to read it, I didn’t want to stop. I devoured it in two sittings and I’m already considering a reread. I adore Hannah and Jack! Hannah Brooks is great at her job but she is an absolute mess in her personal life. She probably/most definitely […] The post The Bodyguard by Katherine Center (ARC Review) first appeared on Dream Come Review ..read more

Review: Read My Lips by Kelle Z. Riley (ARC)

Read My Lips is the first book in Riley’s  new Riches and Royals series. I loved the Undercover Cat cozy series and was excited to dig in to some disguised billionaires.  I really enjoyed the dyslexia rep in the story. I’ve only come across it two or three times out of all the romances I’ve read so that was an intriguing, and educational, addition to the story. The scenes when Claire is actively helping Clayton learn are my favorite in the book. […] The post Review: Read My Lips by Kelle Z. Riley (ARC) first appeared on Dream Come Review ..read more

Review: Beach Read by Emily Henry
Dream Come Review » Women's Fiction

This was one of the most hyped books on my TBR for 2020. I heard it was a lovely, summery read that would whisk me away from the day to day drudgery. I can’t remember whose review or blurb I read but LIES! You owe me a new kleenex box! Beach Read was absolutely not what I expected! Or rather, my strong reaction to the story and characters wasn’t what I expected. I adored January’s wit and flaws. She felt […] The post Review: Beach Read by Emily Henry first appeared on Dream Come Review ..read more

I was thrilled to have a chance to read an ARC of What You Wish For! I adored Things You Save in a Fire and I was absolutely ready to get swept away in Center’s story. The first 30% of the book laid a solid foundation for a great story. The post Review: What You Wish For by Katherine Center (ARC) first appeared on Dream Come Review ..read more

If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane (ARC Review)

If I Never Met You starts off on the heavier side. Even going in knowing the synopsis, I wasn’t prepared for the emotional response that McFarlane expertly coaxed from. I struggled with Laurie’s suffering! I loved Laurie’s wit and humor from the very beginning. She was a perfectly relatable character with flaws that make her authentic. Without a doubt, Laurie will be on my list of fictional friends because I adore her! The pacing felt a bit slower in this […] The post If I Never Met You by Mhairi McFarlane (ARC Review) first appeared on Dream Come Review ..read more

Book Review: This Won’t End Well by Camille Pagán (ARC Review)

Pagán has written another clever, engaging, and relatable story. This Won’t End Well is one of those books that I found impossible to put down. I adored Annie right away. She was incredibly sweet, charming, and her eccentricities made her instantly relatable for me. Readers have the pleasure of watching Annie’s small changes throughout diary entries, emails, and letters and I truly found it satisfying. The relationships Annie navigates are enjoyable and not limited simply to her romance with Jon.
