Fuel Mounts: Nato/Scepter and Propane

Been shopping around for mounts for two Nato format Jerry cans and a 20lb propane tank. Sure, I can get stuff to roof rack them, but would prefer not to. Ideally I'd like to mount the propane over the swing gate hinge bolts as I have a spare tire delete. As for the Jerry cans, they could go anywhere. I have all but abandoned RotoPax and their clones. the mounts all suck, and the containers don't handle desert sunlight well. Nothing makes me more nervous that 20L of fuel all swollen up... Hello, I just purchased the Rock Slide EZ spare tire Mount and wanted to mount my 10lb propane tank on one of the sides. Looking at propane tank mounts, range anywhere from $50-300. Would you trust this mounted to the rear tire while doing some hard off-road trails? Or should I invest in one with more material making contact with the bottom of the... 10lb propane tank mount ..read more

Looking to step my game up and pick up a new propane tankless portable water heater, as their cost is not bad and hot showers are awesome outdoors! Has anyone owned one or currently owns and loves one of these? I like the look of Mr Heatwr Boss units, but I hear there is a lot of water wasted with almost all of these...waiting for the warmth? I am thinking I can rig up a 12v pump or maybe find a battery operated one that won’t burn out and will last?!? I also liked the Costway unit that... Guy Line Replacement

Hey gang. I have a number of gear items that are due for guy line replacement. However, beyond paracord (which has to much stretch and should only be used for guys as a temporary fix), I have not been able to find anything suitable. I found some stuff at various local DIY and Outdoors stores locally, but the reflective threads were garbage and/or they were stupidly made in "camo" or dark colors. Online is of course a shit-show as folks seem to think paracord is acceptable. Curious as to... Guy Line Replacement ..read more
