My brother and I arrived at Uwharrie on 4/12, for a 3 day weekend camping trip. Our interest in this area reached a peak last year, after watching many video's, including Ben's, from @HRG Offroad and some others that covered the 2023 AWD Fest. After our initial plan fell through, which was a group ride, with a largely D.C. area off-road group, because they were uncomfortable with us joining them because my BS doesn't have a low Range or a traditional rear locker. We...

Took the family down to Moab and got to try out the new awning for lunch at the top of a fun canyon. I’m about a month into having my Bronco and if I could sum the whole experience up in one word it’d be EFFORTLESS…The adaptive cruise and road specific modes made the 3 hour drive so comfortable and then transitioning to off road, I aired down and again, just soaked up the varied terrain and was so confidence inspiring…this thing is fantastic.

Are there any gas or electric powered portable water heaters that you can put up outside your tent and use to run moderately warm water sort of like a hot water bag into your sleeping bag in brutally cold weather ..read more

Hey everyone,
I know some here had asked for some pictures of the Inspired Overland RTT mounted on the BS so figured I’d give a glimpse into that along with what else I have in the rig. Everything here works for basic car camping and some light overlanding.
The RTT is mounted to the Thule cross bar kit bought direct from Ford. After receiving the tent, I could make the one style of mounting brackets work but ultimately decided to order the 3.5” mounts from IO for a better fit (the tent...

Well it finally happened, I ripped off most of the factory Felt mid skid plate, on my last off road adventure, to the New River Gorge National Park area, last weekend. It took about a a year and a half, of once a month, off road trips and I had previously ripped a palm sized hole in it but a combination off wet snow and a large rock, I didn't see, pulled the middle 1/3 of it down and I had to cut it off mid trail. Luckily for me (?) I had seen a Facebook post, from HRG the previous week...

https://fordauthority.com/2024/02/future-ford-vehicles-may-get-fluid-storage-container/
that clearly is a Bronco Sport rear end. so....not a bad camping/overlanding equipment. Tho the trunk is very small to fit anymore stuff. but a an integrated system will be helpful to organize efficient usage of the limited space. now...water generation will be interesting. Are they intend the little drips of water out of tail pipe in the morning
or...

For those of you considering recovery boards, it looks like the full line of MaxTrax is on sale at a good $$, including the minis. the MK11's and the extremes. There is a new version that hasn't hit the US yet that's not included. The MK11's look to be the best bang for the buck, at $260 but the Extremes are at their lowest $$$ ever, as tracked by the Camelizer but at $380, may be more than 99% of us are interested in or feel the need for the upgrade over the MK11's.
Personally, I chose...

Thought I might swing my thread about the Ridgid boxes on sale into a proper thread of its own.

I used to camp a lot heavier and after spending over a week overland camping in California last winter in a properly built Gladiator I was inspired to pare down my excessively heavy kit and get it into something more high speed low drag. Ideally a chuck box similar...
