Hi all, My kids are pushing for more and more camping trips and I’m looking for ways to improve our setup - speeding up prep time prior to the trip and break down time when the trip is coming to an end. I’m thinking one way to improve time wise is a roof top tent. Looking for lessons learned & feed back on RTT setups. Curious how drive-ability is? It’s a lot of weight up above the center of gravity. Finally mounted the rooftop tent over the weekend. A Tepui Autana 3. The awning is an Eezi Awn 270° Manta, the rack is a full length First Generation (welded) FrontRunner Wind Cheetah. After last weeks trip I decided that a roof rack would be an awesome addition to my truck. I want to retain the sunroof tilt function so that eliminates quite a few options. I'm considering the Prinsu, Victory and the Front Runner but am open to other peoples success stories. I don't want a light bar so each has that option and the Front Runner has a fairing option. It’s now been six years with taco. My only complaint is that the inside rear view mirror has a slight amount of play when you go over big bumps. Going to do brake fluid and a full service of all the fluids as soon as it warms up. If i have to get somewhere, I am putting my money on taco to get me there. On or off road ..read more
