I was lucky enough to draw a NM muzzy tag for this upcoming season and this is actually my first time ever hunting elk with a muzzleloader. In fact, first time ever hunting with a muzzleloader period. I have a TC Triumph that I purchased for the possibility of drawing a CO muzzy tag as I'm kinda in no man's land with PPs. Many areas I elk hunt have very little to no cell service. Often if I get high enough, I can get one bar. Enough to send a text but not enough to check weather or use internet ver well. Well after a decade and a half the ol land of enchantment finally decided to grace us with another pair of elk tags. I’m trying to decide if I should switch arrows for my elk hunt next fall. I am going OTC so I doubt I will see anything but I am still hopeful lol. My bow is tuned up really well shooting Easton Sonic’s with an overall weight of 430 grains. Shooting Mathews V3X 33 at 65lbs with a 30.5 draw.
