Cheers Package Question

I have tried to find the answer to this question but so far haven't found anything.  We aren't going on our cruise until next April but are probably going to be getting the Cheers Package.  My question is when I go to the website, it says purchase prior to sailing and save up to 10% vs. purchasing onboard.  Everything I have read says it is $59.95 per day ($70.74 with service charges added) so is it more than $59.95 if you sign up onboard?  ..read more

I gotta say, I’m super grateful I got to go on a cruise last year. This year, my wife and I are finally going to be able to go on our honeymoon after saving up for 3 years. Going on the Valor out of New Orleans. Any recommendations or thoughts about that ship from people who have sailed on it? I have some OBC that I feel like I should use in the casino if I wanna try and get a comped cruise, if nothing else for my wife, but it’s still not much OBC so I doubt they would notice me anyway. Do I talk to the host first?   When I’m there it would be pretty cool to share stories and talk with ot ..read more

Distilled Water

Hello everyone,   I will be sailing on Carnival Legend in September and I am very excited. I use a CPAP machine which requires Distilled water and I will be sailing for 10 days. So it really isn't feasible for me to bring distilled water in my luggage as it will be really heavy. I don't see an option on the Carnival website where I can select Distilled water. Does anyone know if Carnival supplies Distilled water or is there any way to request it in advance? Any guidance or insight in this very manner will be greatly appreciated at this time. Thanks again. Best Regards.  ..read more

Wifi on Carnival Splendor

I convinced my husband and younger son to go with us on our Sydney to Singapore cruise. (Originally, it was just going to be older son and I.)  The room next to us came open and I found us business award flights home (still working on flights out there) and hubs decided he would go.  My question is this: What will the wifi be like on the Splendor? Hubs would like to keep in touch with his office.  We took Splendor to alaska and the wifi wasn't great, but I know they also have gotten star link on many of the ships since then.  Does anyone know?     ..read more

I'm torn between these two cruises and hoping for some help. The cost difference is minimal so not a factor and these are West Coast Long Beach port cruises. Both ships are new to me, ports are not.   Carnival Radiance 4 day 9/2/24 - b2b with a 2 day 9/6/24 going to Ensenada & Catalina. The 2 day does not offer Cheers.? I've never done a B2B before, might be kinda fun.   Carnival Firenze 7 day 8/31/24 - Mexican Riviera   I appreciate any input to help sway me one way or another. Hello Cruise Critic Family! My beautiful wife Patti and I have just returned from another cruise adventure. This time we were aboard the Carnival Vista for B2B cruises. The first cruise was a six day cruise to Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, and Amber Cove. The second cruise was an eight day cruise to Aruba, Bonaire, and Grand Turk.   For both cruises we had the same Havana interior cabin # 5214. When the Vista came out in 2016, we thought that we would love to try one of the Havana Cabana cabins, but we never got a chance to book one before Covid hit. When cruising resumed, our first cruise w ..read more

Excel Class Balcony Vs. Panorama Class Balcony

Looking at photos it appears the Excel class balcony rooms appear a bit small, but the sq footage seems to indicate about the same.  To those that have been on both, is it a big difference or not noticeable at all?  I know the Excel Class alternates where the bed and couch is, so that could be a factor as well. This is just for standard balcony ..read more

Beer prices

First of all - I'm NOT new to Carnival - but honestly have never been a beer drinker.  But I'm taking a "newbie" this year - and she prefers beer over mixed drinks.   She's trying to lay out a bit of a budget to make sure everything is covered moneywise - and was asking about the price of beer.  NO, she does not drink anywhere near enough to get the drink package.   And I realize there is probably various beer brands - at different prices.   But let's just go with the normal, common beers.  Can I get an estimate??   Thanks very much   ..read more
