I have this problem too. One thing I'm trying at the moment is to try and focus on one interest, mainly, every day. I pick a different interest for each day of the week (Sunday can be a free day). It is helping me to focus more on each thing, but doesn't solve other issues that I have lol. Statistics: Posted by floatingtree — Wed Sep 27, 2023 8:41 am ..read more

I hope it doesn't sound vain, but I used to be called a prodigy. I used to be great at everything I touched, as long as it did not need group activity. I've been diagnosed with OCD and ADHD at childhood and severe depression in adulthood. My psychologist says my case is way too complicated to be just depression, OCD and ADHD. But nonetheless, I've lost interest in every activity I used to be good at, and now I don't seem to be good at them anymore. I used to have this huge crush on someone and after it hit me that they don't like me back, I couldn't eat well and it's a long story but I became ..read more

For some time now I have felt the need to know / research what interests me, almost obsessively, and to be more involved / not miss opportunities in the sector that I find interesting. However, the search and the amount of information can become overwhelming to such an extent that it becomes not a pleasant thing but rather creates confusion. This is also due to the high number of interests. To give an example, I recently became interested in "self-help" literature. An initial curiosity led to a search on the list of "self-help" strands and sub-sectors, best-selling books by sector and, possib ..read more

Thank you. I’m having a thing about finding a therapist, the last one ress as lily did a number on me, so it seems like I know I need a therapist, butvtrusting one seems impossible. I want to, and part of me hates myself for wanting to put myself thru that again. I know I’m about to lose everything because I haven’t taken care of anything, but there’s always tomorrow(I hope)… at least that seems like my operating mode now. I don’t think I can even be honest with someone again, and trust they want to help. Statistics: Posted by MagnusMyPup — Thu Mar 02, 2023 10:22 pm ..read more

I tend to have bad dreams/nightmares, so the last time I drank caffeine before bed, I had a pretty vivid disturbing nightmare. I'm not sure if the caffeine solely actually caused that or if I would've had it without the caffeine, because I've had vivid and disturbing dreams before, but due to that, I don't think I'd rather not use it as a sleep aid. I know that Dehydration/sleep deprivation may be a cause to it as well, but most of my life (at least after my coffee phase, I don't remember exactly when), I did drink a lot of water, and for sleep deprivation, while I've always had trouble sleeping, I'm not sure it would be enough to cause the consistent effect of the reaction, because I did have days where I would get enough or more than enough sleep. And when I was younger, I don't remember experiencing the effects of sleep deprivation. I felt like I could do just fine through the day after getting my day started on days where I didn't get ..read more

Just to start with, I'm not asking for a diagnosis, I just want to know how reasonable you guys think it would be to reconsider the possibility of having ADHD, or if there's any other disorder than can cause it. So I don't drink caffeine much now, but use to drink caffeine a lot when I was younger. I don't have the best memories of my younger years, but I don't remember ever reacting to caffeine the way people usually describe it. I just felt normal or sleepy. I only drank it because I liked how it tasted, to the point where I'd had it a few times daily. I later switched from coffee to low/n ..read more
