Just thought I would share this for folks whom might find it interest. Going through RAF operations reports at the moment, and was getting the somewhat opaque RAF grid system. Remembered I had seen a webpage some time ago that translated them, and low and behold, it actually works! http://www.echodelta.net/mbs/eng-translator.php Take for example, 21 squadron report for a Mosquito doing intruder operations on June 6th 1944. In Kokang's Laukkai township, in war-torn Shan State, fighting has flared up between the government and rebels in the past week. From Feb. 9-12, "13 clashes broke out between the government troops and the Kokang renegade groups, with the former carrying out five airstrikes during the military operations. I read the headline about this test last night but didn't really read the article until an hour or so ago. Looking at some of the comments, some people are thinking it might actually be a Scud unit (can you fire one of those from underwater?) but I'm just not sure about what kind of missile nor submarine it was fired from.   The article didn't give much away in terms of details, has anyone heard or read anything more about the test?     ..read more
