When all else fails – Been having a tough time with one of my 6.5 Creedmoors. Typically, I’ll try to get away with just necking my fireformed cases, but for one reason or another the brass (chamber headspace) is not cooperating. I know I’m not over pressurizing the cases as the problem surfaces on light loads too. I use a RCBS Precision Mic and I need to bump my shoulder .003 to .004 for the perfect fit. I have two 6.5CM dies (I keep my dies separated / specific to the rifle it’s set up... I'll just adjust it using my grinder ..read more

Do the bullets on hollow points go bad overtime?

Hi. I've been carrying these hollow points for a long while and now they seem to be starting to turn a tint purple. You can't see it in the picture well, but I wonder if long exposure to sweat can impact hollow point expansion performance(and yes. I know that these are Hornady Cirital Defense. I mix with Federal HST also ..read more

I’ve always placed my reloads / handloads in baggies with a identification label and a Desiccant pack. I try to turn over my inventory often, and even though those bags of ammo are also stored in nice ammo cans, sometimes I could see “age” in the brass. I went from this … To this ..read more

Silly Reloading Mistakes

First thing I should point out is that I am a very careful reloader. I double check everything as far as case prep and load data. I make sure primer pockets are clean and flash holes are unblocked. I weigh every 10 to 20 charges to make sure they are consistent. This is where I found a problem. Yesterday I loaded about 75 44 mag cartridges along with another 100 or so 357’s. While charging the case of one of the 44’s I noticed that the powder seemed a bit lower in the case so I dumped it... Silly Reloading Mistakes ..read more

What’s your Reloading area look like?

Feeding off of @Notrighty post about Silly Reloading Mistakes, I thought it might be interesting to see other’s reloading area. Mine is simply a bench made of 2X10 lumber with a particle board cover. I run a MEC 9000 for my shotgun loads and a Hornady Progressive for the vast majority of my pistol and rifle stuff. As I always de-cap my cases and tumble them a second time to clean the primer pocket and later use a standalone RCBS priming tool, I don’t actually use the... Dose Anyone Use Bulk Cheap Ammo Directory?

I want to share a review of a new ammo directory "Bulk Cheap Ammo"(bulkcheapammo.com) . Its Like Ammo Seek & Ammo Buy. One of the best option that I like about this directory is that they show shipping cost for individual products as per your real location. So its very time saving to get the actual price without going to retailer website & than doing add to cart to get the actual price you need to spend. Any on here using this website to find lowest... 50 Grain frangible?

Anyone have a recipe? I've read, on the internet, foe what that's worth, that these should be loaded with the recipe for a 65 grain projectile as they are longer an d lighter than a lead and copper projectile. 20.9 grains of acc2015 still seems a little hot to me to push that light of a projectile upwards of 2700fps. I've got a couple hundred projectiles (brown tips) and several powders, H355, Acc2015, H322, CFE-223 and BL(C)-2 in my current stockpile. Any ideas or experience will be... 50 Grain frangible ..read more
