I'm sure many of us have several "Magnum" pistols and rifles along with "less powerful" pistols and rifles. .357 Magnum, 10mm, .44 Magnum, .454 Casull, .460 Magnum, and .500 Magnum or .38 Special, .40 S&W, .44 Special, and .45 Colt. There are also special cases made for several of the magnums just for reduced loads.
I openly admit I have several "pet loads" built for my magnums, using magnum cases, but at far from magnum levels. I use a lot of cast bullets and steer away from magnum...

I'm sure this has been asked many times but I have finally run out of some my 1st batches of bullets and exploring the options.
I am running a single stage press so I don't have to worry about all the mechanical setting up for different types.
Price wise there is about $0.004 - $0.01 difference per bullet adds up but not enough to really make a difference in decision making.
Hypothetically speaking, as I know I will never shoot enough to make a difference but I am...

I was gifted a shot gun shell reloading press about 5 years ago. Recently retired, decided it's time to learn shot gun shell reloading. I already load for several handgun calibers and .223. It's a MEC reloading press, I believe it's a 600Jr. I need a few parts to make it usable, while waiting on response from MEC I figure I need a LOT of info on shot shell reloading. What is the best powder, best hulls, ( I know there are straight wall and taper wall hulls), best wads, etc. I have a bag of...

Hi All,
I've been a quiet lurker for a while and thought I'd make a post just to contribute. Anyone who shoots and reloads .45 ACP is very well aware of the cursed small pistol primer cases that seem to pop up regularly in range brass, and even in the stuff we buy. In addition to eyeballing them, there are many methods to sort LPP and SPP brass, some of which are a little more tedious than others. I designed and printed a sorting tray that is easy to load with 100 cases (put it in a tight...

So I clean my ultrasonic cleaner every time I use it because I wait for large batches. Just use some dawn dish soap and hot water. Thinking of just rinsing it out and not cleaning it thoroughly every time, just every once in a while or cleaning it every few times. Just curious what others are doing? How are you cleaning your ultrasonic and how often? Thank for the input ..read more

Got a gift card to Amazon from work so I went ahead and bought a Garmin Xero. I have a MagnoSpeed sporter that I kludged to fit on my 2011 and have used it to chrono in the past. But I wanted to chrono any firearm easily and just wasn't ready to buy the big bulky LabRadar (not dissing it but...). Some thru shade on my Sporter as being not very accurate. Today I went and shot some using both the Sporter and the Xero. Wow; I was surprised. Both measured my boolits virtually the same.
I was...
