I have been rigrously preparing for gmat along with my job. I dont get much time to study but sacrificed my many weekend to study and prepare for the exam. So the thing is after almost 5 months of prep i have given gmat offical mock test and scored only 495. I am ashamed of myself as i have hoped for above 600. I am now so much demotivated as if this exam is not meant for me. How can i recover from the reality. This much score i could have achieved even without studying. How to proceed from here o nwards given the fact i havent appeared for gmat as of now. I found that in last 3 -5 question ..read more

Hi, I am planning to purchase mocks and practice questions. Are there any other mocks and practice questions worth the penny apart from the official? submitted by /u/Far-Oil-6338 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I just took my second real exam, both online, first got a D/V/Q of 82/82/80 635 and then a 81/83/86 675. From my experience, the quant and DI sections are just more difficult and different than the mocks. In DI you obviously have verbal DS questions which make it more difficult, but even just the wording of the question increases the ambiguity way more than the mocks. The quant section is so different in regards to just constantly seeming to test a small area of topics. In my two exams, I didn’t once get tested on probability/stats/combos/permutations. I did experience some more time issues t ..read more

Test scheduled in 10 days and I’m not scoring close to my target score of 685. Currently, my mocks are embarrassingly in the late 500s. My weak areas are CR, what seems like all of DI, hard questions in algebra and arithmetic. Mental health is in complete shambles. Getting hard questions wrong one after the other is terrible for my headspace and I constantly feel like giving up. Nevertheless, I’m determined to achieve my goal and mentally ready to reattempt after this one. I’ve taken time off from work till the exam and I am looking for advice on what I can do to optimise my prep as I study f ..read more

I scored perfect score in CR section (usually missing one or two), but even given 50% extra time due to ADHD diagnosis im still spending 100% extra time than extended time. What’s your suggestion on future approach? I realize my problem is this weird habit of having to reread the question like 10 something times to get it, usually spending the most time on the first three sentences re-scanning it. My memory is shit btw, I can’t even remember what I read a second ago so I have to repeat this motion until I clear enough RAM space to read the rest. It’s like starting an old engine on a motorcycl ..read more

Can someone explain this please? I know why it is not answer E, but I don't understand how it is D. Shouldn't it be 7x6x5 x 7x6x5? Why are we dividing it by 62? submitted by /u/No-Significance-2437 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

The colleges application requirements state that these score the recommended not required, but I have been told by the institutes who help with applications that without the score one can not submit their application. Is there someone who has applied in colleges like HBS, Columbia, NYU etc. can let me know if that is the case? submitted by /u/Ok_Tart_4354 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

As the title suggests, I have almost given up all the hope on GMAT. I deem myself to be a strong test taker (top undergraduate degree, CFA charter holder with no second attempt on any levels etc).I am also fairly good at maths (at least I thought I was). I was aiming for R1 applications and have been preparing for GMAT via official materials for 1.5 months. My prep strategy has been: Read the OG review materials (done) Do all the OG question bank (done) Redo all the mistakes from the OG questions bank (done) Watch most of the GMAT Verbal and DI videos (done) Started to do OG additional quest ..read more

Preparation tips for quant

Hi everyone How hard is it to score good marks in the quant section? I have been practicing from the official guide and got stuck in few questions in the hard section. I saw their solutions and I could not have guessed that approach any time. Just started thinking that if it was the actual exam I would have been screwed a bit ?. submitted by /u/Consistent_Cabinet16 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
