South Ayrshire Council is delighted to announce that the Typhoon Display Team will return to this year’s International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight.
Last September, BlackJack’s electrifying display left the crowds awestruck with daring manoeuvres, at eyewatering speeds of up to 600 miles per hour and the thundering roar of its jet engines!
While aerial display times can only be confirmed closer to the event, you can be sure of more jaw-dropping displays from the team on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September 2024!

This morning, the RAF Typhoon Display Team have released images of a new special schemed aircraft for the 2024 display season.
Applied to Typhoon FGR4 ZJ913, the scheme represents a Hawker Typhoon of 257 Squadron during June 1944 complete with invasion strips on the fuselage and wings. 257 Squadron was part of the 2nd Tactical Air Force flying fighter-bomber missions as part of 146 Wing. The specific codes ‘FM-G’ represent the aircraft flown by Sqn Ldr Denzil Jenkins. Jenkins began the war as an airman and was commissioned as an officer in Jan 1944 ..read more

Captain Petteri Kairinen of Fighter Squadron 31 is the F/A-18C Hornet Display Pilot of the Finnish Air Force in 2024. Kairisen has ten years of experience flying the F/A-18 Hornet fighter and a thousand flight hours. This year, the alternate performance pilot is captain Paulus Kärnä from Lapland aviation.

The first display for this summer’s Airshow has been revealed as the iconic RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, due to bring an Avro Lancaster and two Hawker Hurricanes for both days of the event.
They will be part of an overall D-Day theme for the 31st Clacton Airshow, taking place on 22-23 August, which will be commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Normandy invasion which began the liberation of Europe in the Second World War.

The RAF Cosford Air Show are thrilled to announce that the Red Arrows will return on Sunday 9th June 2024. The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, more commonly referred to as ‘The Red Arrows,’ will be performing a brand-new display in the skies above Cosford as part of their 60th Diamond Season celebrations.
