Hey everyone! I’ve been researching my grandmas side (Beeson family) and I need help verifying an ancestor.
Was Uriah Monroe Beeson b. Ca. 1785 and married to Sarah Ann Harriet Maples in Amite county Mississippi in 1810 the son of Captain Edward Beeson (1757-1837) who was born in Guilford North Carolina and died in Marshall county Alabama?
There is a lot of records and research done on Edward and Uriah’s son Benjamin Abbott Beeson (1813-1899) but not much on him or where he is buried.
Thanks ..read more

In my tree I have Elizabeth Helston born 1766 in Stoke climsland, Cornwall (daughter of Chydester & Elizabeth).
in Stoke Climsland there is grave for Richard Helson 1788/9 - 1853.
I've got lots of Helson from the area and haven't been able to link this grave in. Looking on ancestry and some has linked Richard as the illegitimate son of Elizabeth and given him the middle name Hawking. Helston / Helson is a common change so that doesn't worry me.
Cornwall OPC has a baptism for Richard Hawking as base child of Elizabeth.
I dont feel comfortable just accepting this all as the same people ..read more

Is there a way to find who lived in a house when it was built. I was born at home in 1946 in what I think was a victorian build. Nan, aunts , uncles and cousins all lived there. It was big with a basement .2 floors and attic.
I dont know if it is possible to go back to find who used to live there and how. I do not have any names so the census is out.
Thank you
