Hello Brand new out of the box. Everything except spindle in attached as i dont have that yet. I wanted to try out the x y and z but cannot get the estop to release and turn yellow. F1 has all green top to bottom. I did look at masso controller and the error light is flashing. So anyhow can i not jog the machine without spindle installed? Appreciate any help yall may have. My tools database is a mess and I’ve had it. I want to start a new node and copy in my bits and fix the numbering and finally … to address the material specific settings nightmare I created. I have quite a few bits from different manufacturers and the specs from each, like freud and amana make their tool data downloadable. Do you find that, for the most part, all 1/4" EMs are run at the same settings? Do I really have to care if it’s a Freud bit, an Amana, etc? I have some pricey (coated, etc.) bits that I could track separately, but are the general ones all the same? I’d love to eliminate the ..read more

I have an elite and new to this. I have a cnc metal machine and when i tell the metal cnc to go to 0,0,0 on start up it goes and uses the sensors to do that. My elite seems to reset 0 on x and y axis. i have checked the settings and sensors and settings. I have updated the firmware to the latest version still errors. I have looked everywhere but cannot find topic that answers my question. I have Journeyman machine due in May 2024 and have been working on design of my table and have question about power supply. I am thinking of mounting it inside a section of the table. I plan on designing a push button on the front or top of the cabinet to turn supply on and off. I’m 3D roughing a job in poplar and I noticed that it’s dust. The chip load was super low. I have a chip load range chart by material type, but I’m having a hard time believing it, because the only way I can seemingly get it in the range is by increasing the FPM beyond what I’d expect or by dropping the RPM below what I’d expect. For instance, I had it at 80 FPM and 19k RPM. If I plug in 100 FPM and 5k RPM I get .01, but 5k RPM? Can the be real? Aspire, OF Elite with stiffy, .25 ball nose for this case. Thoughts?
