The event was presented by the American Democrats Aboard, Paris Chapter, and held at the Mona Bismark American Arts & Culture Center in Paris, France. Performance at the Pantheon With the blessing of Josephine Baker's grandchildren, American dancer Shanice Alonya Sloan, danced in the likeness of Josephine Baker in front of the Pantheon in Paris, France on May 12, 2021. The date is one month after Josephine's day of passing, April 12, 1975 and closely follows May 8th, Victory Day for Europe Allied Forces in World War II. Cabaret Diversity Network held an event in the center of Paris to celebrate Josephine Baker's induction into the Pantheon on November 30th, 2021. The organizers offered one free drink called the "Black Pearl" to all guests plus had door prizes, games, and displayed famous posters from French Cabaret theaters.
