Obviously I’m changing tanks and cleaning her in a soaked and electrolyte bath first. Long story short 5 years ago an ex and I left a reptile expor with an odd orange bear die. Being told nothing about tits “genetic mutation” is what someone told me it was finally once it never grew horns and just kinda looked like an odd lizard. We break up, three years later she no longer wants the beardie… this morning I picked up the dragon thinking sure man I’d love to get it back…. Little to my knowledge was the conditions it was in, my ex claims to have found out it’s sex since she works at a vet clinic ..read more

Sick beardy at a friend's!?

So my buddy works at a shop. He called me because we have a beardy. The one at the shop, Jack, is saggy and lethargic. I have not experienced any sickness symptoms ever with Talla. But to me, as he did a skin pinch, that didn’t snap back tight; Jack must be dehydrated!?!? So I recommend clear unflavoured Pedialyte, as the shop has no electrolyte soak!? It there anything else we can do!?!? 1 post - 1 participant Read full topic ..read more

So this weekend we went to get my partner and help him make the trip to Indiana so he could move in with us… And his sister decided to dump her 2 year old bearded dragon (that she just got a couple months ago) on me after I pointed out he looked to have an issue with his arm, as she figured I’d be able to “take care of him better” than she would. Probably true but meh, not how I would have liked to obtain a beardie if I was gonna get one. Good thing I did a bit of research so I at least do know what to expect in terms of proper care for this guy. The arm is swollen and leaking pus, I suspect a ..read more

Weird day! My only other time posting on this forum was telling the story of my other rescued reptile so it’s crazy that over four years later fate brought me another. My boyfriend is a garbage man and does big rear load dumpsters. This morning, he was doing his route and dumped one, and just as he’s starting to run the arm that compresses all the trash into the body of the truck, he sees something move. He gets raccoons all the time so he (luckily!) stopped to get a closer look and found this little dude: No box, no nothing, just picked up and thrown away. No terrarium or equipment at all th ..read more

I’m really not sure what to do…or if I even need to do anything There may not even be a problem! I just am nervous and want to get other opinions! If there IS a problem here…I need advice on how to fix it or go forward. We have 2 beardies, both girls and both fairly young. We previously had a male beardie. Lucia, hatched in December 2022 and weighs 94g Khali, hatched in August 2022 and weighs 98g Ludo, hatched in August 2022 and weighs 300g The breeder we got Khali from says they had her from 2 months until now, and primarily fed her greens about 3 days a week, and Dubias 4 days a week.
