Newbie here. Is the green contamination? Also, I’ve had this monotub going for several weeks after mixing with material from a grow bag that I inoculated months ago. It’s so slow. Am I effed or is there hope?

I'm especially interested in the oppinion of people who tried both and what they settled on, why they settled on that. Thanks!

I followed uncle ben's general ideas for the entire plan, i just did my own bags.
The monotub was kept with lid closed at 22-24 celsius in a dark place, i only opened the lid once/twice a day for FAE.
In uncle ben's guide he mentions i could go directly to fruiting conditions(light, constant FAE and misting) but he says he found better results if he lets it colonise something like 70% before going to fruiting. His post had photos with 3-4 days and already 75% colonisation of monotub, for me it seems to go slower
Should i keep at it as i did with lid closed dark place no misting until it ..read more

I'm trying to grow king Oysters on a mix of coffee grounds and straw in plastic growing bags. Roughly a month after inoculation they look like they have colonized the entire bag, but in reality they colonize only the outer millimeter of substrate, touching the plastic bag, while the inside remains untouched. What could this be a symptom of? Is my substrate humidity off? Should I keep them in a darker place? Maybe they're cold/hot?

First time growing mushrooms, and my øyster mushrooms seem to have gotten smaller mushrooms on their caps. Anything to be worried about? I'm growing them in a cellar in the western part of Norway which is known to be chock full of yeast and spores in the air.
