Hi All,
We recently picked up a low mileage 2021 Express passenger, 6.6 gasser, long wheelbase to use as the starting point for our new van build. We just got it back from Advanced for the 4x conversion with a 3" lift. My question is, what are people have to do to fit 285/70-17?
Based on the interwebs, I picked up some Method NV 305s with 0 offset and 4.75 backspacing as recommended (by advanced as well). I had a near new set of Cooper Discoverer Rugged Treks from a 4runner I sold, so...

I have a Class C RV a Born Free 22. I have a dual chuck inflator but still have trouble getting air into the outside tire of the dually. With a 45 degree angle reverse chuck i can barely get air into one side and only by cranking on the stem can I get air into the other side. I am afraid of what I am doing to the stem. Is there another option or a dual chuck with a different angle to get to the stem without torquing on it?
The only thing I can think of is add longer stems but that will...

Confirmed today that Craig at Whitefeather is retiring (congrats!) and will no longer be offering conversions for Sprinters. Truly a bittersweet day in the van world as we lose a great resource in the community.
Looks like the only option for a true 4x4 Sprinter is Iglhaut(eye wateringly expensive). Fingers crossed someone stateside sees the opportunity as the van market is massive ..read more

Greetings Gents!
It's time for round 2! Some of you guys might remember round 1, the Ute, which I stupidly sold. I then tried to pull off importing a U1300L and it was an awful experience of broker and customs calamities. Long painful story... The good news is that I'm stoked on building another van!
This time I'm going small. I found a single owner ex-goodwill janitor van from Texas. It's a 96 RB 7.3 with 65k on the clock. Unicorn! Chris's kit is in the mail and the axles and ZF6 are...

Sold my Syncro, time for another van build.
Meet name TBD 2004 E350, 6.0 diesel w/ 91k.
Had shelving inside that I removed and sold. Otherwise an empty base model work van.
I like doors with windows so I managed to get some side and rear barn doors with windows.
So much brighter inside!
I got kinda spoiled with a pop top on the syncro, so I set about finding one for this van. Found a 'Chef's Camper' top on Market place.
Some chopping and fiddling, and it's...

Hi!
I'm installing a 10ft 50lb awning and wanted to get your opinion on what I'm thinking. I'm hoping what I've designed will be strong enough to support it, but I'm not entirely sure if this will damage the fiberglass high-top. I assume it will be fine, but I wanted to make sure before I go drilling holes in the top. Most of what I've seen with other installations like this, is they mount the awning at the very top or on the roof rack, but that's high and I'd much rather have it mounted...

Hello, just a start to my curious adventure life. Coming from the expedition suv conversion side, I've taken on a van for my next build out
While at pensacon convention with my wife, one of my co workers was working transportation and they had a van go down. Company owner stated they were over completely rebuilding it and I jokingly express interest. With a glare from the wife I walked away at the end of the night with a van.
To restore life it took a new crank position sensor...

Full size American vans (Ford, Chevy etc.) make great campers, but very few used vans come with a pop top or a high top that you can actually sleep in.
Even with a high top like this Ambulance, most people can't even stand fully upright inside, let alone have a bed that isn't in the main living space.
There are pop tops and high tops available for these from several well respected vendors, but they are fairly expensive:
A pop top with...
