25 Priory Members and some partners had a fantastic week in Lanzarote in January.   The Hotel was amazing, with great food and facilities.  A great week of tennis for everyone culminated in a great doubles final at the end of the week.  After a hard fought battle the final was eventually won by Sue Rostron and Geoff Greaves (left side of the photo) with runners up Debbie Lee and Anita Jefferies, (right side of the photo.   A big thanks to Mark and Bekah Atherton for doing a fantastic job organising the week and making it such an enjoyable week for everyone ..read more

*** Men’s & Ladies Doubles Tournament – Sunday 25th September 2022 *** 28 members signed up for the annual doubles tournament and we were blessed with dry weather all afternoon although it did get cooler and very windy later in the afternoon. As usual the level of competition was intense, and all the competitors are to be congratulated on their enthusiasm, camaraderie and sportsmanship! On July 16th, Priory Tennis Club and Head Coach Andy Perry were presented with awards by LTA Cheshire for their contributions to tennis in the Cheshire area over the past 12 months. New Drone Photo Shows Priory From Above

Much has changed since the last time we saw the club photographed from above, including the much needed resurfacing of court 3. However, thanks to a volunteer who kindly took some drone photos of the club and agreed to share them with us, we have an amazing new aerial view of the club. To our delight, the courts and surrounding areas look absolutely fantastic from above. ***Geoff Kenworthy Men’s Singles Open Tournament – Sunday 12th – Saturday18th September 2021*** Players from a number of local clubs took to the courts to celebrate the third edition of the Priory men’s singles open tournament in memory of Geoff Kenworthy. The standard of tennis was very high right from the start, with particularly good performances from several of the Priory junior players. On Saturday 31st July, the members of Priory Tennis Club celebrated the 100th anniversary of the club with a number of events taking place throughout the day. It all started with a bit of friendly competition in the first mixed doubles tournament in a number of years. Ready for a competitive afternoon’s tennis, 18 couples participated in the tournament, made up of a mixture of team and social members. In glorious sunshine there was a great turnout to watch the annual men’s and ladies doubles tournament.  There was some fantastic tennis played in both the men’s and ladies competitions.
