Crouch gets one week for nearly breaking a player's neck Butters gets off for running past the ball and bumping a player front on in the head. Deemed to be trying to pick up the ball by Christian. Yeah, right. Charlie Cameron's suspension was thrown out because someone said he was a good bloke. Wow, that's great work from the tribunal. Scott Pendlebury also gets off for being a good bloke Patrick Dangerfield gets slung face first into the turf in a much more dangerous tackles but strangely his opponent received no suspension in the same round that Higgins gets three weeks And on and on it ..read more

Yep. It's a hit piece. One thing you can count on from journos is exaggeration. A team wins by one point and they're superstars, they lose by one point and they're an abject failure. We're used to getting kicked like this, but it doesn't make it any less nauseating to read or listen to. 18 months ago Carlton were getting whacked and last year it was Fremantle. Before that it was an injury ravaged West Coast who were missing ten of their best players every week. But of course, their form had nothing to do with that according to the journos. Why miss an opportunity to smack a club and coach in ..read more

Gerard Whateley said if you’re going to tackle someone who is upright then you’re better off letting them get a kick or handball away, rather than tackling them to ground and risking suspension. Have a read of a conversation they had on Fox Sports 2 weeks ago - before the Higgins Aliir incident. Gerard Whateley predicted that if a player tackles someone and pins their arm… then that will be deemed dangerous and worthy of suspension, regardless if it was a sling tackle or not. That’s not a coincidence that he said that. Gerard has a journalism background and he’s well connected. He’s probabl ..read more

How is it League and Union players tackle all game long, almost every play and players are not continually suspended, for tackles below the head/neck region. I think umpires not paying quick htb penalties has contributed to the current nonsense. Statistics: Posted by Yorkeys — Wed 01 May 2024 9:09pm ..read more

Supporters of other clubs and commentators all see the treatment we get and largely raise eyebrows but don't care because it's not their side. AFL GHQ know that. Statistics: Posted by Yorkeys — Wed 01 May 2024 8:53pm ..read more

Let’s face it, we are the whipping boys of the competition. All St.Kilda players are expendable. By suspending Saints players, the AFaiL isn’t going to lose out on TV ratings and attendances. Statistics: Posted by Sainternist — Wed 01 May 2024 8:13pm ..read more

If that had been Nick Daicos would he have got three weeks? Nup and if his name was Charlie Cameron his good name would have got him off. Statistics: Posted by magnifisaint — Wed 01 May 2024 7:37pm ..read more

I can assure you no one is more vocal and proactive to the AFL than Basset. He is a true Sainter so when the supporters feel an injustice has been done, I promise you he is just another disgruntled supporter who actually has a voice to the AFL. And he uses it. But as we all know it’s a fine line. Upset the hierarchy and it can come back to haunt you……Thommo and umpire footy cards anyone. But again I assure you,AB does not sit on his hands. He conveys what every diehard Saints supporter thinks. On second thoughts...I know where you're coming from with the 'fine line' comment. You can go to ..read more
