I’m still not over the fact that we are now back in Singapore but Masya’Allah. I had been waiting for this trip for months and what a trip it has been. Early this year when we made our booking, I wasn't sure what to expect when as this is my first Umrah trip ever. I honestly felt like I wasn’t ready, I didn't deserve to go and that there were many others who were more deserving to be in my shoes. But then I got over myself because you know what? We're all worthy of God's grace. And if He wants to give us a chance, who are we to say no? I knew it would be a spiritual journey, but I didn't real ..read more

I'm excited to share that I was featured in Kdan Mobile's blog, and you can read the full feature here! I love being able to share my story with people who are also trying to find their place in the world, and I'm so grateful for Kdan Mobile for giving me the opportunity to share my story with their readers. Kdan is a company that makes software for mobile devices, and I had the chance to talk to them about how I use technology to be more productive. We also talked about my favorite features of the Noteledge app, as well as how I stay on top of my creative projects. Inspiration can strike at a ..read more

The first half of the year was a complete roller coaster ride. I got to work in my dream company at one of the best offices in the world, got hospitalised due to a spinal injury, bought a car, co-hosted three work events, witnessed friends getting married, mourned the death of my beloved grandfather (who my husband and I were living with), mourned the death of a friend one week later, worked with some of the best minds in the business, learned about the tech industry in general, picked up some great new skills, finally travelled after two years of the pandemic, got rejected from my dream comp ..read more

A Belated Eid Mubarak

A belated Eid Mubarak everybody! We got a new GoPro Hero 10 Black during the last week of Ramadan and we decided to give it a whirl on the first day of Hari Raya this year. It’s truly not an easy feat, running around with the camera in hand while having to serve guests and of course, the editing that comes after. I honestly used to enjoy editing but I don’t know why I’m starting to find it to be a chore lately. Anyway, this Hari Raya was filled with a lot of firsts — from both positive and negative ends. While we are overjoyed to be celebrating our first Eid with the car and GoPro, we can’t hi ..read more

Our good friends Muzhaffar & Fatin finally tied the knot last weekend! I find it super cute, the story of how Muz & Fatin met. I shall not let out too much (because it's not my story to tell) but they met at Sarimbun Campsite when they were doing a camp and according to Muz, it was love at first sight. As outdoor camp instructors, I'm sure most of us have had our fair share of outdoor romance (hahahaha) but to actually get married and seal the deal!? Respect! It's very rare for me to blog about weddings because usually, I have multiple weddings to attend on the same day - but this wa ..read more

It’s been awhile since we stumbled upon a hawker stall that truly impressed us in so many ways. My best friend suggested coming to this newly opened stall in Ang Mo Kio and he’s driving, so why not, right? It’s halal certified, prices were affordable and their portions were huge. This hidden gem called 365 Cuisine Halal Western is located in the heartlands of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 5. Expect affordable western dishes with generous portions that don’t compromise on quality or taste! 365 Cuisine Western (Currently Muslim Owned)603 Ang Mo Kio Ave 5, #01-2683, Singapore 560603 Faceb ..read more

Earlier this year, I shared about how virtual games have helped me relieve stress whenever I feel overwhelmed at work. I still do turn to online gaming sites up until today, but I’m the type who prefers one off games rather than long-form quests etc. So since I have some time on my hands, I just thought I’d come in here to share with you guys another website that I recently found out about. If you enjoy online gaming as much as I do, then continue reading! When I first saw their website url, I thought that they’d only have Solitaire type of games but I was surprised to find out that they had ..read more

Perth is one of the most beautiful and diverse cities in Australia that is often overlooked due to its geographical location, making it “the most isolated city”. But truth be told, it’s a beautiful city with so much potential. Now that the VTL flights and borders are open, I’m definitely thinking of my next visit. There are many hidden gems waiting to be explored and with so much culture, adventure and history, there’s bound to be something for everyone here. Best Advice for Buying Property in a Big City

After my last rant about thinking of migrating out of Singapore, I found myself researching more and more about where most Singaporeans have migrated to. Well it’s still wishful thinking for us to migrate for now but I did stumble across some great advice that I could definitely use for the future. Buying property in a big city can be incredibly stressful but yet at the same time, I honestly think that it can be one of the most rewarding things you can do.  Large cities often have quickly rising property values, endless things to do while you live there, and great options for work: unfor ..read more

Ripley Ohio at Sunset I have written about thinking of migrating previously and while Australia is still top of mind for me, there are still other places that I’ve stumbled upon during my research and one of the interesting spots is Ohio. If you are considering a move to Ohio, like you would with a move anywhere, you’ve got to go through your steps in the right order. While many of us might think every state is the same, so what applies where you’re from is going to be the same in Ohio but that isn’t always the case. Before you go browsing Cincinnati houses for sale, you’ve got to make sure y ..read more
