I've rescued a Leo about a month or so ago from a friend of a friend and he's ~13 years old. He seems okay in himself other than being a grumpy old man who still isn't completely convinced that he likes me. He already is missing quite a few toes, or at least the tips of most of them as they look quite stumpy and have no claws. He's been eating and pooping normally (I think he has some vision issues so I'm looking to get a gel food to feed him easier). He's in a 60cm x 30cm x 40cm ish tank... Read more ..read more

Hello everyone! I’m a soon to be gargoyle gecko owner, and I couldn’t be more excited! I wanted to ask a question here since it got missed in the new enclosure thread. My current plan is to have the clay ball drainage layer, substrate mesh, and a mix of reptisoil, eco earth, spagnum moss, and leaves on top. Is this a good mixture, and will it aerate properly with... Read more ..read more

My current plan is to have the clay ball drainage layer, substrate mesh, and a mix of reptisoil, eco earth, spagnum moss, and leaves on top. Is this a good mixture, and will it aerate properly with and occasional fork mixing? Also, as far as securing climbing cork bark and grapevine branch, do you recommend gorilla gluing before laying the... Read more ..read more

Fleeced by unethical vet?

Hi guys, I am in need of advice for my 3-year old leopard gecko. About 2 months ago, I noticed that he was having issues shedding and one of his toes was turning black from stuck shed, so I took him to the vet. The vet gave him some cream and antibiotics, the toe was saved, and I took him in for a re check. At the recheck, the vet said that he had mouth rot (probably the result of the infection spreading?) and prescribed more antibiotics. Fast forward 3 weeks later, I take my gecko in again...
