Here is a cute picture of my gecko Leon! This is the second time he’s crawled in my hand to let me get him out! I read that him laying his belly on our hands means he’s absorbing some of our heat. feel free to comment cute gecko pictures!

I was cleaning a house and saw a gecko that looks emaciated. Super skinny, legs looked like they could snap off at any time, multiple layers of unshed skin build up, not eating and barely drinking. I put it in shallow warm water and kept trying to feed and water it. It took the occasional lick of water off a piece of lettuce but still won't take a bite of anything. After letting it soak awhile, I put it in a dry container with food+water and put some olive oil on it to help moisturize the skin. Is there any obvious thing I should be doing or does it just take time??

Okay so he is 13 months and 18 days (1 year, 1 month, and 18 days old) old and I just got him from a lady who has kept him in a very small bin he was born on feb 8th 2023 and I'm just wondering how big the little dudes supposed to be at this age?? I now have him in a large tank that's nice all tall so he can climb around and everything I'm just really concerned on his weight and size... someone said their 1 and a half year old chahoua gecko was 50g and I was so shocked and now I'm concerned is it because he was in a tiny bin?? And so he wasn't aloud to grow??? Or do you think the lady got ..read more

hello! I have a young adult male gargoyle gecko who is currently in an Exo Terra 18x18x24. I bought a 2x2x4’ Zen Habitats PVC enclosure when I acquired him, and I’m wondering if that’ll be too big for him. I definitely want to upgrade him to at least a 2x2x2 but am worried that the 4’ tall might hinder his ability to find food (he isn’t a great Pangea eater, we’re working on it) and my ability to find him when he’s hiding. thank you for any advice!

i have a mediterranean house gecko, and i was wondering what kind of plants would thrive with just watering them in the enclosure, and that would be okay for my little gecko as in safe and that he would like them maybe for climbing/hiding? i recently moved my little guy into a bigger enclosure and he loves his hiding spots but how can i encourage him to come out? any tips and advice is very appreciated ?

Hey!
So after a few years of pause I'm getting back into lizards. I'm not new in the bussines (had spiders, bearded dragons) but it's been a while so I'm looking for some opinions and information.
Firstly, I have my eyes on Phelsuma Madagascariensis. They look amazing, I think they are in my park when it comes to experiance and I have space for them. There is an experianced owner nearby that can sell me those and help if needed. Whats more I wanted 2, and if by chance I got 2 young males or females we could switch. My aim was a tank of 50x50x80 (thats like 20x20x32") with a proper setup - no ..read more
