Exterior box for outside light, actually impressed I got the strings through before they removed the brick. Brick isn’t necessarily water tight submitted by /u/Commonslob [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Are NCVTs still widow makers?

When I was doing residential New construction, I ended up trashing all my non contact voltage testers because of how unreliable I found them to be (I was using mostly Klein), and exclusively started using my fluke meter to test for live circuits. After talking to a lot of other electricians I found this was a general consensus. Recently I moved into Solar (I know, gag, but I get paid well.) and there are times where I want to bring as few/light tools as possible to the roof. So my question is, has anyone found a reliable NCVT yet? submitted by /u/Ravyn8275 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Me and some other 1st years were given #2awg wire that was left behind In a jmans old truck before it was given to a new jman. He said "I guess this is for yall, I never seen this shit". About maybe 40lbs of it, I know I can scrap it but I was told at that weight cops get a notification for something. If I go scrap this, what would happen? Remind you, this was just given to us...by a ghost lmfao. I aint trynna get fired. submitted by /u/Ok-Combination5020 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
