By Lisa Emery, Brand Manager, Rice Krispies cereal When we ask consumers why they make Rice Krispies Treats, the most common answer they give us? They’re easy to make. If you’re a parent, you’ve probably had the idea to make cookies or a cake with your kids. It can be a fun way to bond – but it can also be difficult… and become unfun. You need exact measurements of ingredients. You’re working with raw eggs. Things can get messy quickly. Rice Krispies Treats, on the other hand, require very few ingredients – and you can eat them while you make them! Rice Krispies® is all about family togethern ..read more

Chelsea Jenkins, Director, Cultural and Inclusive Marketing, Kellogg Company A core facet of our company’s Kellogg’s Better Days global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy is our commitment to appreciate all individuals for their diverse backgrounds, experiences, styles, approaches and ideas. By Charisse Hughes, Chief Global Brand and Advanced Analytics Officer, Kellogg Company It’s no secret that artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the fastest-growing data-driven technologies being used worldwide, transforming every industry and every function in business. Many organizations are focused on finding the “AI silver bullet” fix, but the reality is being data-driven is a continuous journey, not a destination. By Allie VanHeest, Chair, Board of Directors, St. Luke’s Diaper Bank At first, we were a little nervous about what to expect. After all, Kellogg was offering St. Luke’s Diaper Bank the help of one of its employees to achieve our goals. How could they help? Would it be a good investment of our limited time? Hands on a laptop keyboard — Image by © Laura Doss/Corbis At the time, St. Luke’s Diaper Bank had two employees and many volunteers. We were in the middle of our busiest year yet when we would provide 388,834 diapers to 7,775 families in the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. Fortunately, we hit paus ..read more

By Matt Reid, Food Designer, Kellogg Company Despite having a 3-year-old son and a daughter on the way, I didn’t know anything about diaper banks before I started my Kellogg’s® Better Days volunteer project. What I did know is that Kellogg was giving me an opportunity to build my leadership skills by helping out a local nonprofit organization. We call it “skills-based volunteering,” and it’s a win-win for our employees and our communities. When Kellogg reached out to members of our Business/Employee Resource Groups (BERGs) looking for volunteers to pioneer this approach, in partnership with U ..read more
