WSG was honored to host the Red, Wine & Blue happy hour for SynerG Law Complex this month … WHAT A GREAT GROUP! When Jason Graham, founder and CEO of SynerG Law Complex, invited us to host, we literally jumped at the chance. His concept of a turn-key office solution for attorneys with a great location, a beautiful modern building, and loads of amenities included is nothing short of brilliant. These tenants are HAPPY - they not only have a beautiful environment, but they have the comradery of socializing with their peers on a regular basis in situations just like this happy hour. An open ho ..read more

We are thrilled to announce that we have moved our location from the Dacula/Gwinnett County area down to Atlanta. It’s been a long time coming, but the location is perfect for us. Our two children finished high school in the Mill Creek district of Gwinnett, and we knew it was time. Our commute is so much easier, and our Gwinnett clients are often closer now than they were when we were located in Dacula. We have chosen the Northcrest subdivision in the Doraville/Tucker area of town for its central location and super-quick access to all interstates via “spaghetti junction.” Northcrest is a nei ..read more

Time to register for the GCRA Virtual Technology Seminar - June 26-27, 2021 ……brought to you by some of the best steno and voice court reporting talent around, and powered by Whova Event Management. It’s that time of year! We, as the Board of Directors of GCRA, struggled with a way to bring this seminar to you in a manner that made EVERYONE comfortable and eager to attend. Because we have chosen to go totally virtual this year, even reporters from other states are able to join us and get points for national (NCRA/NVRA) and possibly reciprocal state credit. This is an unexpected blessing that ..read more

Have you ever wondered …

…why there is a little sparrow in our logo? Likely not, . . . but around here it’s a little nod to our Christian faith and the sparrows that God mentions frequently in the Bible as a symbol of deep caring and attention to the needs of His children. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke … and even the Book of Psalms have verses that mention the lowly sparrow - seemingly the most basic and plentiful of the simple brown birds that fly the skies. Opening a tiny reporting firm in the big city of Atlanta back in late 2013 was a gamble. How would I find clients? How do I keep clients and grow a business ..read more

Fall 2021 … the time has come to announce some exciting changes! “Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together” ~James Cash Penny (Founder of J.C. Penny stores - 1902) This quote is so very true. WSG could not be achieving the growth that we are without excellent admin support and excellent reporters. I have been so very blessed to have BOTH. But time marches on, and Erica is advancing to the “internship/shadowing” portion of her court reporting school journey - which means she’s working on passing her 200s! I’m so incredibly proud of the hard work and dedicatio ..read more

Normally around this time of year you see my face in your office with some sort of token of our appreciation for your loyalty and business throughout the months prior. I pride myself on going to see each client at some point during this season - even if just for a few minutes - to just say “Thank you” and “We appreciate you.” 2020 has been a very different year. It’s just been WEIRD. No regular business pattern, long periods of time without seeing everyone - really “seeing” them. One week seems to move into the next, and then POOF, it’s Christmas time …. WHAT? All this to say — I didn’t get to ..read more

We are excited to announce WSG’s first full-time hire! You have all come to know and love our current admin, Erica, who was originally supposed to come fill a part-time role which has quickly grown into full time - more than she originally agreed to with her school load — so the time has come for true 8A-5P help. Thanks to a lot of prayer and faith, as well as YOU, our loyal clients, it is that time. The growth this year has been so exciting to watch. Claire has come into our path at the absolute perfect time, and she’s going to be such a great add :) A little background… Claire went straigh ..read more

Does your court reporting firm have transparent billing … really?
WSG Reporting Blog

Your client works hard for their money … Shouldn’t they know exactly how it was spent? We all know that reporting services are not inexpensive; however, comparing “rate sheets” from different reporting firms can sometimes be confusing . . . so many variables. Does your court reporting vendor send you invoices that leave you scratching your head - wondering how they came up with that random number at the bottom of the page? Personally, that type of billing practice with any company leaves me FRUSTRATED. I like to see what I did to incur a charge - you know, see what things actually COST. Large ..read more
