I started this dialogue when I was lucky enough to be given this Port Jackson fig approximately 3 years ago. It was repotted last spring 2020 and I’m about to do some shaping as it is looking a bit misshapen. My main question is about the 100 or so cuttings off it that are now 1 and 2 years old. As per pictures, they are all growing without any natural shape to them. Am I best to cut them back hard, below the leaves, or will this kill them? I am wondering how to get them to form compact growth and start to form the into good specimens, rather than lanky uninteresting cuttings. Advice needed, t ..read more
