It would be good if someone with this problem actually resolved, ie fixed it and came back with what had caused this problem.
I've seen many SEAT Ibiza owners complaining about this - but no one has returned and said what the root cause of this fault was.
I'm guessing it is a wiring problem where this brake switch wiring passes over the bolt on the chassis leg area, especially for the cars that end up with the brake lights stuck ON and remaining on after the connector has been unplugged from the (hall effect) switch on the brake master cylinder.
Hey, I've noticed this too! It's baffling ho ..read more

My headlight won’t work, replaced the bulb still no look. Looks like it’s getting condensation on the inside so wondering if this is causing it. Can this be fixed because I cannot find a new headlight anywhere. It’s on a seat Ibiza cupra 2014 ..read more

Thanks for the input
So funny with the voice control function, even in 2023 it’s implementation from car manufacturers is a hit and miss… I have it set as English US but imagine asking it to call non US names…
Well, if I’ll ever get to make this retrofit i’ll share it because there isn’t a lot of information about this online.
The steering wheel is not that that expensive but the airbag is… also this mod is more of a personal thing, not really needed because all of the functions are already there
Thanks ..read more

Thanks for the extra info.
Only concern that I have it's how good will the new MFSW buttons correspond/transfer to the 2011 Ibiza 6j... please if you have some input on this:
My style of MFA (dumb) with no submenus/selections:

MFA+ from the 2016 Ibiza:

Not to forget the old command stalk corresponding to the left part of the new steering wheel:

I found this from an old post of yours that you pointed out that on Polo without a MFA+, some of the buttons will not work (probably same on Ibiza):

This is how some 6Rs have it done, but you (Ibiza 6J) have to take into account what I have written in the previous post ..read more

Another thing you can do is connect the LIN wire for MFSW to the LIN wire of the T27/2 driver's door connector (Ibiza 6J) better than to the BCM T73b/17 connector, it is the same LIN, it will be infinitely easier and I am sure you will do better splicing/crimping with these wires.
The positive, "+15", can be taken from the fuse box under fuse protection. (SC8, ... SC1/2/3/etc...)
You've practically got it done, good luck with your searches and findings. It's already a piece of cake for you ..read more

Thanks for the reply, as far as I know Ibiza only started to offer MFSW from 2016 and by then I think that's MQB platform but I found one post on another place that states:
Hi,
if someone is interrested about MFSW for Ibiza 6J, I have tried new style steering wheel and its working fine in Ibiza 6J PQ25 platform with factory installed BCM 6R0937087H. Buttons backlight is working too.
You need to
1. replace only theese parts:
5f0880201J AAP / 6f0880201J AAP - airbag and mf buttons cable (orange)
7n5419091D - steering wheel
2. add two wires to steering wheel coil for 12V and LIN BUS
3. conn ..read more
