I had the battery module check and software update recently. I bought my Born from Bristol Street Motors SEAT Birmingham which closed (they passed my details onto BSM Derby). I booked in with Arbury Cupra in Solihull but they rang to pass me onto Arbury Cupra Stourbridge. The technician was telling my they are a "battery centre" and he's had Born's to repair from down south and from Manchester. I'd never really thought about the limitation of battery centres and how local they are (or not) to you. Hi I think the heatpump has been demonstrated ro be pointless. This is a heavy car so it doesn't handle like a 1-series. So pure acceleration is not a good measure. The touchscreen is much less friendly than the 1 series joystick thingy. That's the biggest downside in doing long trips (over 150 miles). I had a 118i and it was great fun. This is not the same. Hi, Currently driving a BMW 130i in the UK but petrol and tax alone is currently costing me £250+ pm due to my commute which is making the Born look more and more appealing. My only concern is performance related, I've never driven an EV but I assume having 200bhp on tap at any moment makes them feel comparable to ICE vehicles with more power in the real world? Is there any must haves in terms of spec? I'd assumed heat pump would be a must but it doesn't appear to to be the case from what I've read for the Born. Ok, tried with "signal_flow_topology" to "0" and there is no change in the EQ settings, it seems like only 3 of the sliders work (110Hz, 1KHz and 10kHz) but otherwise the sound seems fine. I've just realised that my EQ settings are a bit messed up, like others have been saying, so it looks like the Kufatec dongle doesn't in fact make the correct coding changes. The rear speakers do work but they sound a bit bassy and somewhat lower volume than the front ones. Will investigate changing "signal_flow_topology" to "0".
