Drum & Lace has been busy at work on a new record titled ONDA, the artist’s second solo album, which came out June 21 on Fabrique Records. While Drum & Lace’s music is hard to categorize, the genre the artist has been inhabiting is ambient techno, and IDM and minimal dance are both inspirational to this new album.

Pierre Charles is new to scuba diving. He was certified in May. Very recently, he received his advanced certification.
We were 75-feet underwater off the coast of Catalina, and I started to feel a bit of anxiety… We had been kicking a lot against a current and I was kind of feeling a little air-starved. Craig Wedren is one of the composers of Yellowjackets, so he knows when the consumption of human flesh is necessary to the story. Most of Ariel Marx’s proficiency is on the violin. She plays on some of the scores she composes, and her solo album, Luthier, is a love letter to string quartets. She can also play guitar, piano, flute, and she grew up singing. Ariel is known as a multi-instrumentalist, but throughout her life, she’s practically been a multidisciplinary artist, from her childhood beads to the shadowboxes she constructed as a teen to pottery.
