Earlier this summer, multi award-winning, BAFTA and Ivor Novello nominated composer Richard Jacques was at the world-famous Abbey Road Studio 2 to record music for the new video game, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. In February of 2020, before the pandemic changed everything, composer Marco Beltrami recorded his score for A Quiet Place Part II, the sequel to the 2018 hit film. Scoring took place at Beltrami’s Pianella Studios in Malibu, CA, using a 38-person ensemble of the Hollywood Studio Symphony. Originally slated to come out in March 2020, the film’s release date was postponed and moved multiple times before finally coming out today, May 28, 2021. When Hollywood wanted to turn the Tony-nominated musical The Prom into a feature film, Ryan Murphy leapt at the chance to direct it. Ten years after directing Eat Pray Love, the acclaimed writer/director brought his vision of Matthew Sklar’s musical (adapted by Bob Martin and Chad Beguelin) to the screen.
