How did you get started at Dfly? I was searching for some energy classes to establish a routine for improving my exercise and health habits. How did you get started at Dfly? I would take Dfly classes while visiting family when I lived out of state, and then joined the Middleton studio when I moved back to Madison in February 2023. What was your yoga or barre experience before Dfly? My first real taste of yoga took place while doing the P90X fitness videos about 15 years ago. How did you get started at Dfly? I started attending classes in 2013 or 2014 and practiced on-and-off for a couple of years. I returned to Dfly as my main place for fitness & workouts a year or two ago. What was your yoga or barre experience before Dfly? How did you get started at Dfly? I started going with my roommate after college and fell out of it during the pandemic. Beginning of last year a friend and I started going again and I have been going every week since. What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly? How did you get started at Dfly? I first attended some Dragonfly classes in my undergrad back in 2016, when I was trying to find something to fill the void as my time as a competitive figure skater came to an end. How did you get started at Dfly? In 2019 I wanted to try yoga again. My friend saw the website and helped me find Dragonfly. What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly? When I lived in China I tried yoga in 2006 the first time after having my daughter to lose weight. I did not lose weight, but improved flexibility and helped me relax. About 10 years ago a friend invited me to attend a class at Dfly with her. I remember entering the warm room, it felt so good! The class was challenging, but I felt great afterwards and immediately knew I wanted to return. I took advantage of the class pass sales, until the Verona Builders Membership became available and jumped on that right away. Dragonfly was my first experience with yoga. How did you get started at Dfly? I needed more yoga back in my life and had known about Dragonfly for many years. When the location opened in Verona, it sealed the deal for me. I joined the same week it opened! What was your yoga or barre experience before Dfly? I discovered Yoga in my early 20’s and was hooked immediately. My journey started with me asking a friend who practices/teaches yoga a simple question. Her answer/advice keeps replaying itself in my mind, till one day I just decide to put myself in motion and see where it would take me. I started at Dragonfly after a friend asked me to go to a class with him to try it out. The membership rates were about to increase and we thought it would be a great time to join! I started doing yoga in high school with my mom and some of her friends. It was a really wonderful way to decompress and connect each week. In college, I was on the figure skating team, which kept me really active. I enjoyed taking barre, kickboxing, and spin classes to supplement my skating.
