Take off your MG4 wheel covers now!! All they do is damage the alloy and they look CRAP!!

I washed my car this weekend and decided to remove the wheel covers to clean the alloys and im shocked that MG chose to fit these to the car. The wheel covers have metal clasps on them that grip on to the wheel and all they do is scratch the wheels and make them look awful. Mine have never been removed before and every wheel has scratches where the metal clips touch. Anyone buying a brand new MG4 should ask the dealer to remove the crappy plastic covers before they accept the car because... Read more ..read more

Preconditioning interior of mg4 SE on IGO?
MG EVs Community
by Koops

I’ve had my mg4 SE around a month now and am comfortable doing reliable charging overnight using IOG. I will be trying to heat the car interior whilst plugged in for charging in the morning, probably after 5:30am, initiated using iSmart app ‘air conditioner’ option. Three questions: Will clicking on the button in the app start the internal heating? If internal heating is started, will it be on the overnight 7.5p tariff or the standard rate? Does the app give a timer option for the internal... Read more ..read more

The Tesla full self-driving thread

I'm hearing great things about this new version of Tesla's self-driving software. I honestly thought it could be decades before this was feasible, but they seem to be pretty damn close with the version 12 the Tesla boys in Merika are raving about. Will it take all the fun out of driving? Who will be liable it it goes banjax and kills someone? Will we get cheaper insurance premiums for using it if it's proven to be significantly safer than a human driver? Will we even need a car of our own... Read more ..read more

Just wanted to say hi. I've been lurking and reading threads for a while to get an idea of owners' experiences before I took delivery of a 9 month old 3000 mile orange Trophy 5 days ago. Got to say I'm really enjoying the car so far. It's a joy to drive, even on a boring commute. Great to see all the useful information and informative civil discussions here. No doubt I'll have questions, but so far have gotten away with Google searches (often leading here) and reading the manual... Read more ..read more

Hmm, charge your EV, you must. Simple, the steps are. First, to a charging station you must go, young Padawan. Connect the charger to your vehicle, you then do. Yes, hrrmmm. Mindful of the type of charger, you must be, for different speeds they have. Slow, fast, or rapid, they can be. While you wait, patience you must have. Good for the soul, patience is. Check the status of your charge, you might. When full the battery is, disconnect you shall. Ready for more journeys, your vehicle is... Read more ..read more
