That’s my old one in my teeny courtyard, sorry for dog-bum. I’m hoping to get a more comfy/permanent set up at my new place because the weather is delightful everyday!

Hey all! I have a car that’s beginning to be more trouble than it’s worth - I live in a city and my partner just got a new car so it really feels like it’s not worth the expense for me to have one.
Does anyone have any experience getting a motorcycle or a scooter as a replacement? I’d like to get a smaller vehicle just to run errands and have the freedom of movement. There isn’t a super extensive public transit system here.

Just got a new WFH job. I'm trying to figure out how to configure my new workspace, and could use some advice. With my prior job, I basically used my laptop as a desktop (closed and stowed, connected to a dock). I had 2 monitors, one central and one to the side. I put a camera above the central one. My new employer was kind enough to supply me with a nice 11" laptop, docking station, two giant monitors, keyboard, and mouse. I had planned to replicate my prior setup for my new job, but my employer insists that I don't need a standalone webcam since the laptop has one. I also can't use my own d ..read more

Hey everyone, I wfh full time and I only have to go into the office about 4 times a year. My job does require that I remain a resident of the state, which is a demand I find reasonable. With that being said, there is no rule that I can't occasionally work from other places. I'm not an outgoing person and I'm trying to work on that. Mentally, I've always struggled, but my issues have seemed to progressed as of lately. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD; Coming to the realization about my past experiences( or lack there of), socialization, and failures has affected me tremendously. I am seein ..read more

I just found out I got my first work from home job. I am very excited!! where in your house do you have your desk? I don’t have an office so I am going to have to make a set up somewhere in my home. Do any of you work from home and also have children at home? Or any other tips in general you could give me?

Hi all - I recently moved to a smallish 1BR and have been trying to figure out how to orient my workspace. I just have a desk, couch, side table, and TV stand in the living room. I do have a shelf on the way as well.
It would be nice to rotate the desk to be facing the window, but then the seat/monitor would be blocking part of the window? Trying to figure out how to utilize this space so it feels more like a separate zone to help with unwinding after work.

There isn’t an office in my city so I never have to go in. I leave my house to go to the gym, groceries, friends/fam, and random stuff. I spend $60 a month on gas for my 2006 Honda civic hybrid. My bumper is popped out and it has no A/C ? im at 226k miles. Other than the check engine light being on 24-7 it runs perfectly fine to get me from point a to b. I was looking into buying a 2024 Toyota GR86($35k). I’ve never had a super nice/new car and I think it’d be super cool to have it while im in my 20’s. Is it worth it?
** I’ve never took a loan out before, so this is all new to me. I bought my ..read more

So I started a part time weekend work from home role in the healthcare industry back in late Feb. There’s another woman that joined with me at the same time and we both got trained the same way. For the month of March where I got many hours as I possibly could. Now the manager who handled scheduling changed. Before, we would get email notifications when the schedule was up!
However for the month of April, I got less hours and literally just weekend shifts. This other person ended up getting shifts everyday. I ended up having to take on double shifts just to make the hours!
I’ve asked and the ..read more

What did you say when you replied to that?
I know that when I resign, my boss will say this to me. The pay is awful, but I was desperate when I applied. Now I’ve found something else and just have to support my family, so I want to move on but I’ve only been here for 2 months lol.
Anyone got a bulletproof reply? Thanks for your help
