While on vacation in Vietnam, we decided to try to hit up Asia Park. We'd already been to the other Sun World theme park (Ba Na Hills mini-TR coming later), so it wasn't a big priority for us but with the park only open a few hours every day, we decided if we were ever in the city of an evening to see how the weather was and try and squeeze in a trip. The main reason being, as you've probably seen from my decade of reports, I live in South Korea. For a place where theme parks tend to aim at families, there's a surprising lack of smaller-medium family roller-coasters like Ice Breaker or a mine ..read more

I subbed high school science today and there’s a lot more roller coasters involved than I remember! This was just a sample of the pictures I saw in the text book. There are also photos of Kumba, Cyclone, drop towers, and kiddie coasters! Did any of you ever get to do a science or physics day at an amusement park? I got to do Busch Gardens Tampa in high school in my AP Physics class and it was super fun.   Someone pointed out in the Facebook group that the Physical Science textbook is written by a chemical engineer! Oh Florida!   I don't believe this still looks like this!   A ..read more

Hello all, Hereby our first trip report of our summer holiday 2023. We take you to Skylinepark, an amusement park in the German town of Rammingen Our final destination would be the town of Längenfeld in Austria, so this fun amusement park was a nice stopover. The night before we had an overnight stay in Stuttgart, so that we could visit Skylinepark fresh and fruity. It was the first time for all three of us, so a lot to discover! We decided to take it easy that morning and enjoyed the hotel's extensive breakfast buffet before we got into the car towards the park. After all, it was a weekday ..read more

This question is regarding those websites that have live crowd levels and wait times as well as future predictions of future crowd levels and wait times. Took my teen daughter to our local family entertainment center, Sonny's Place (Somers, CT). I was surprised that their carousel has some historical info setup in the corner courtesy of the New England Carousel Museum. Equally surprised that they are keeping up with maintaining this 1925 beauty! It has zero missing lights (it is indoors, of course), the paint is nearly all perfect with the exception of the bench which is in the process of being repaired, and it has a working (but electrically powered) Wurlitzer!! No piped in music here! Enjoy the pics. I was inspired by Bert riding carousels ar ..read more
