Simple method for visualizing decision tree classifiers?

I understand you're seeking an updated solution given advancements in machine learning features and Mathematica capabilities. Is there a straightforward method available for visualizing a decision tree classifier? Python's libraries like graphViz have been helpful in visualizing trees, simplifying data interpretation. Despite searching various forums, I haven't found a simple tool for mapping tree branches and nodes ..read more

Confusion when exporting TSV file within a zip file if it's called CSV

Hi There, The below is a little confusing - to clarify, I have a zip file with a TSV file in it. The TSV file ends in CSV where it should probably end in TSV. I'm playing with GDELT data and want to do a bulk insert of file data into a SQL database. To do this I'm exporting a CSV file that is inside a zip file (supplied by GDELT). I have included one of these files, just rename the attached file to "20230101.export.CSV.zip". I use this code to extract the TSV file from the zip file so I can use it in a bulk insert query (the TSV file ends in CSV where it should probably end in TSV): Export["20 ..read more

Port HEALPix to Mathematica?
Wolfram » Data Science

I've been wanting to analyze [WMAP][1] data statistically for a while now in order to evaluate the non-Gaussianity of various portions of the WMAP data. Mathematica natively supports [FITS][2] files, which are apparently the standard in astronomy. So I have set about working with FITS files from the WMAP mission. It's a lot harder than I expected; the files are massive collections of data points and they are somewhat clumsy to work with. Here is my first several hours of effort on day one: ![WMAP in Mathematica][3] As you can see, this is not ideal. I had to scale down the notebook on a huge s ..read more

Find clusters with threshold for number of members
Wolfram » Data Science

Mathematica has a lot methods and options for cluster analysis (and I learned them not bad =) Now I need to find clusterization of some daily weather data, and *the number of days in any cluster should be more than some threshold* (e.g. 30). So if some cluster has less members, it has to be merged with other. *Number of clusters* itself is not defined initially, so method should *not be* "KMeans" or "KMedoids". I still don’t understand what options (for e.g. "DBSCAN", "Agglomerate") can be used in this case ..read more
