Does any one has recent experience on transferring from a 5 year speciality to family medicine? Is there any success to do so or it might be very hard to do the switch?
Thank you so much in advance ..read more

Hello, I am a grade 12 B.C high school student aiming to study in Alberta and gain the IP advantage for UofC and UofA med schools this way.
I am really really confused on if I can retain my bc ip status while living in Alberta. I know that currently ubc med wants you to have a valid bc services card. What exactly does a services card mean? A care card? A bc ID? Or is a separate card?
Can this even be done? (Retaining the BC Services Card)
I've heard also that you need to make your home in BC. How does that work?
Also that you need to be eligible for MSP ..read more

Has anyone in the Ontario 2022/2021 admission cycle with PASS/FAIL course grades or a late dropped course with a "W" on transcript get accepted or got interviews?
If yes, how many Pass/Fail or W did you have and which schools still interviewed you?
Did you need to provide an essay explanation for such on your transcript?
I'm freaked out wondering if I should bother applying so need some input if anyone has done this before ..read more

Hi everyone,
I am 16 (sec 5) and I am currently going to the International School of Laval (ÉÉIL). I think I have really good grades, since my current average is ~95, and I know that I will be able to put even more effort once I'll be in cégep. I'm having a dilemma right now: I applied to Vanier college and got accepted, but they also invited me in their Honours program. I am interested because I like science and I'm not afraid to study a lot at all, but I've talked to many people who told me that I shouldn't go if I am aiming for Med-P. It apparently lowers R score because the average is so h ..read more

Hello!
I’m currently studying at Udem in microbiology and have a pretty low gpa, 3.0/4.3 and this is my last semester before getting my bachelors. Initially, my plan wasn’t to get into medicine so I didn’t do much effort. After rethinking it, I definitely want to give it a try, but don’t know what my best plan is.
Would a second undergrad be a good idea? Or maybe continuing with a masters?
I don’t know if anyone went through this before, but I’m really lost as to what’s my next step.
If someone has a suggestion or could enlighten me on my options, that wo ..read more

Hi everybody!
I'm graduating with a bachelors of Anatomy and Cell Biology from McGill University in Winter of 2024. I currently stand at a 3.72 cumulative GPA, I'm hoping to boost it to a 3.80 by the time I graduate. I'm struggling with ideas on what to do post-graduation. I feel incredibly intimidated by the super high GPAs people have in the science field and it makes me feel like I have no prospects in healthcare. I do have 2 years of experience working as an emergency room unit coordinator.
I'd greatly appreciate it if anybody could share advice or programs I could apply to with my c ..read more
