FIFA Said to Be Close to TV Deal With Apple for New Tournament
Tariq Panja nytimes.com Reporting from London April 22, 2024
FIFA, soccer’s global governing body, is close to an agreement with Apple that would give the tech company worldwide television rights for a major new tournament, a month long, World Cup-style competition for top teams that will be played for the first time in the United States next summer.
The agreement could be announced as soon as this month, according to three people familiar with the matter, who were not authorized to discuss the deal publicly ..read more

I know there was a similar thread in the past, but I could not find it through the search function.
Czech Republic vs Canada (November 15, 2003) was recently uploaded to youtube. It was not shown in Canada at the time. This was the second last national team match for Paul Fenwick. He played the final 3 minutes on November 18, 2003 vs Ireland. Mark Rogers saw his final two games vs Czech Republic and Ireland.

The matches against Netherlands, France, Argentina, Peru and Chile will be Canada's highest profile set of five matches since the friendlies ahead of the 1994 World Cup. The results of those matches were:
June 1 - Canada 1 Morocco 1
June 5 - Canada 1 Brazil 1
June 8 - Canada 0 Germany 2
June 10 - Canada 0 Spain 2
June 12 - Canada 0 Netherlands 3
(As an aside, it's crazy that Canada played five matches in 12 days, with three of the matches in five days.)
Ahead of the 1994 matches, there was talk that one win and one draw would be the best Canada could hope for. How it turned out - two draws - w ..read more

UPDATE:
Our 2nd Friendly is away to France on Sunday 9 June 2024, 9:15 pm, in Bordeaux.
The FFF has yet to officialize ticketing.
The stadium Matmut Atlantique, holds just over 42,000. It is ten years old and was designed by Herzog and Meuron, it looks amazing. Girondins de Bordeaux play there, thought they are mired in 2nd division and their sheen is severely tarnished.

So let's have fun and speculate on another match this June window. If we play on the 6th, we'd need to rest on the Friday, train Sat and Sunday, and then we could do a friendly the M ..read more

How many people are you bringing to Atlanta?
This is an unprecedented game. SUM, the company organizing COPA, is requesting an accurate number of expected sales. This is an important issue due to section splitting and security concerns. There is the added concern that if we overestimate what we need it could hurt us in the future for securing tickets. Initial indications are that tickets will be over USD 250 (so you are aware).
When answering the poll please coordinate with others in your group to NOT duplicate the numbers.
