When I bought my last one I just did the usual vehicle search through central registry. This one is 10 years old and one owner so I have no reason to be suspicious but what did you others do? Its in Alberta if that matters ..read more

A note to Snowbirds about to depart for extended stays out of country. Here's what to expect when you try to put your TV/Internet/Phone services from Telus on vacation . Internet and phone will cost you $15 each a month , but if you have Telus home security you can't put internet on vacation . TV service can't be put on vacation either , you have to pay for the Essential package at $43 a month , and have the equipment sit unused at your home. Last year to had to set up vacation by phoning in , now it's self serve online ; I suppose this is so you don't start yelling at the representat ..read more

Class A Motorhome BC Driver's License Requirement

I just recently emigrated to British Columbia from the US. I have a 40' motorhome equipped with air brakes that weighs approximately 33,000 lbs. I do not tow a trailer or other vehicle that weighs anywhere near 4,600kg. In the US I held a non-commercial class B driver's license from Nevada. At the local ICBC office today I was told all I needed was a Class 5 driver's license. When I asked the clerk if she was positive I didn't need some different classification because of the weight and air brakes she checked with her supervisor. The supervisor confirmed the Class 5 is good for any motorhome ..read more

Hi All, From what I have read of other posts, it seems like a real long shot to get a spot in the Canadian Rockies National Parks. In a queue of 50,000 is not realistic on the mornings they release the sites? So with that being whats up...can anyone recommend any private parks to stay at and just drive in for the day. I have apps for Research but find forum recommendations to be really valuable! We are a 34' Class A towing a jeep and want to spend about a month. Thanks in advance! Hope to cover both the north and south ends but recommendations anywhere nearby will be apprecaited. PS. We need e ..read more

How heavily can you modify and RV and be road legal?

Hello IRV2 family, I recently bought me a big 43 KZ New Vision Sportster to live full time in. But I soon discovered wet spots in the RV roof. I have a few choices, do the work in the summer myself, pay nearly 15k to a shop to completely replace my roof, or... I go all out and completely modify to RV to look more like a "Tiny Home." With this last option I was thinking of putting a taller roof on the rv, one that slants to one side like a wedge, and then to insulate the outside of the rv and put shingles all around. My question is, if I do this large roof modification, will my RV still be a ..read more
