Hello! I've entered very strange waters and have taken a big plunge and recently got a Sony a6700. It came with a very basic lens and am looking to get a new one. My longer term goal is to get proficient with the camera as next May we're on Safari. It's a once in a lifetime trip so figured a decent camera was a must. So, in the interim, I'm looking at a 20 - 70mm e mount lens, I'll be going for a 70 - 200mm lens nearer the time. Can anyone recommend a decent 20 - 70mm lens <£800? Thanks... Read more ..read more

A while ago I found a web site that offered guides and articles about different cameras (I was interested in the A6400) which operated on a subscription basis. You paid a monthly fee and then had access to all of the information on the site. Does anyone know what this site was ..read more

ok I'm 90% there but still struggling with nailing the photographic triangle thing. I tend to go back to auto on my Sony A7IV camera to play safe. I have a filter that I have used to get photos when using a slow shutter speed but I'm stuck with what to use for manual mode or which priority option on the camera, shutter, Aperture or Iso etc. It's just not clicking in my head. I'm almost there I think and understand the whole shutter, ISO aspect but it's in the field I'm panicking etc ..read more

Buying Camera Gear in Japan

Anyone had any experience in buying camera gear in Japan and using the 'tax free' options and how it works? I will be visiting Tokyo in September and am looking at purchasing a Panasonic Lumix S 24-200mm lens (£899 retail in UK) . I'm a bit confused on how the tax free option works...My understanding is it has to be in a single transaction and over 5K yen and item must be unopened and unused ( I was intending on using whilst in Japan) and where to claim the tax refund..at the POS or the... Hello all, So I have a question that concerns camera compatibility with the above titled monitors. The Ninja Flame was released in March 2016 and was capable of recording up to 4K 30fps Externally from a camera's sensor. The Ninja Inferno was released in March 2017 and was capable of recording up to 4K 60fps Externally from a camera's sensor. The first camera that I wanted to use with one of the monitors was my Sony HVR-Z5E. This is a compatible Atomos Camera and has an HDMI out. This... Read more ..read more
