About 15 year ago I was able to purchase 20 James Bond films(4 volumes with 5 films each). I recently began to replay them, only to discover half of the 10 films I've played so far, freezing part way through. Most of the disks have been played just once or twice before. There are no visible finger prints and I did try to clean them. They are not Bluray but regular DVD's. I even tried an older player and the freezing problem persisted. Just a bad batch ..read more

So, i got my copy of the UK BD of "The Crow". It is a real disapointment. Picture quality is much below average and by best means looks just like upscaled SD. No HD feeling, no sharpness, no depth of picture. Lousy contrast and very foggy. Details a suffering very much in dark scenes, which is most of the film. Anyone experience THIS? [My Setup: 65” LG C1 connected to BRAND NEW Panasonic UB9000 Blu-ray player via Ultra HDMI cable. ] After a few minutes of playback (Schindler’s List UHD) a distortion patch the size of a plate, shaped like Georgia, appeared for 20-30 seconds, and then disappeared with scene change.
