So I have a 05 1.6 cabriolet and have always had issues with my windows, not retracting when u shut the doors and also the sunroof doesn't go down with the button only manually. Hi Everyone, I have a 2000 VW Beetle GLS 2.0 Automatic. I have owned this car since 2004. Finally getting around to fixing it up and making it look pretty. I am new here. I have been dreaming of a Beetle since I was 10. I found a used GSR Beetle in good condition near me and immediately bought it! I really love it! The dealer replaced the timing chain, and so far, it has been really great! Can't wait to go on a road trip with her! I don't why the previous owner sold her but I will definitely keep her. Hi all, my first post. I have a problem with my convertible. The passenger window will operate the small window opening when opening and shutting the door. but it goes down too far and won't close, and every time you open and close the door the same thing happens. But when you go to close the window, it will only go up if you pull the button and release it straight away. My '09 2.5l just hit 80k miles. In celebration, it killed its crankshaft position sensor and burned out a headlight. With those taken care of, I am working my way down the 80k mile maintenance checklist in the manual. Oil change is done, coolant freeze protection is adequate (though I believe it is original - should it be flushed after 15 years?) and other than a very minor oil leak that was there when I got the car, everything seems to be in good shape. Hey everyone! I was recently driving my car as usual, & I stopped at a shopping center. Right when I got up to the parking space i wanted to back into— i noticed a big cloud of white smoke.
