Hello I need help with my 2007 odyssey EX-L with 173,000 miles. This vibration started after I got my heads back from the machine shop. My van bent valves because the Machainc I had at the time did not align the timing back right so it jumped timing and the valves bent. Now, I am having an engine vibration problem. My 1999 Odyssey starts fine, fast idles for a few seconds then drops to 1400rpm, then the idle speeds up 1700rpm which takes about 2 seconds. Then it drops to 1400 rpm and the back up to 1700 rpm in a perfectly consistent rhythm. I don't drive it much anymore and the battery is dead if that has anything to do with it. I have a 99 Ex with the CD radio. It normally works fine and sounds good whether playing CDs or the radio. But, every now and then, there is no sound from the left front speaker. And now, most times when I get in it, great sound from the right but nothing from the left. I will drive for a while and then all of a sudden the left speaker comes alive. and will then continue until I shut it off. Have a 2006 Ody touring 206k timing tensioner went bad, and I didn't check it in time and the belt broke and bent 2 exhaust valves in cylinder #4(nothing else). Would've ran like that except it would was putting it in limp mode I assumed from being very low compression. Pulled front head and got all the parts from Honda and changed the 2 exhaust valves, didn't lap them or anything because I wasn't worried about that, as long as it does a good enough job to not put it in limp mode I would be... A few days ago my Odyssey on the highway started breaking itself and would not move forward or shift gear. Had a towed to the dealership, came back with the code, listed above and 15 other codes. Dealership stated it’s a transmission issue will have to replace it for $9910. Dealerships spoke to Honda directly and they have Goodwill program that will cover 90% of the cost to repair it. Previously when we had our 2012, the oil filter was easy to access and change out. But tonight when I’m changing our 2023 filter for the first time, not only cannot fit the filter cap wrench on since space is so tight, the filter was overtighten and no way to unscrew it. I tried to remove the plastic covers around it but the snap cap (not sure if that’s what it’s calwas stuck on there too and couldn’t lift the center piece out to remove the snap cap assembly. We bought a 2018 Odyssey Elite (used with maybe 15,000 miles) in 2019. I was never pleased with the throttle response even when we first got it. Always seemed like when I stepped on the gas, it took a split second longer than it should have for the car to move.
