About 15 years ago I planted four Knock Out Roses, two yellow and two red. I planted one of each color right next to each other in the corners or our yard hoping the branches would intermingle. Boy was I wrong. One of the yellow ones died years ago and the red one next to it has been a showstopper ever since. It puts out a massive amount of blooms each spring.
In the other corner, the two roses have done poorly being that close each other. The red one was the worst so last year I took it out...

We moved into a new house last year, and we inherited a rose bush that seems in dire shape (see attached).
It's super thin with few leaves. Last fall, it bloomed a couple times, but it seems very anemic.
I'd like to shorten it because of how tall it's getting, but I'm afraid if I cut one of those 3 main stems, it won't sprout back.
Does anyone have tips for reviving this bush, or is it a lost cause? Are there any fertilizer/pruning techniques that could help it thicken up, and...

My mum got this rose plant last May and it bloomed so lovely in August, it didn’t get pruned much during winter but survived and is now growing very nicely. Second photo is last summer
Do I prune it in Spring time? I’m worried about accidentally ruining it as I’ve never properly pruned a rose plant before ..read more

Hi All!
We have a rose called Oso Easy Double Red that I pruned in spring. This summer, it grew like mad and got too large. I'd like to prune it back to a more rounded shape, and about 3 feet shorter and less diameter. (It got to be about 6 feet tall this summer.)
I've read dozens of sources about pruning in fall. Some say it is the best time, some say never do this. Some say only prune to 5 leaves and some say it is OK to remove all the leaves. We are in the Detroit area and days...
