I have a 2008 MZ3 2.0L automatic with about 130K miles and I recently did some high mileage related cleaning / maintenance including cleaning the throttle body. Ever since this TB cleaning, I am having a strange power loss / rev limit problem that typically shows up when climbing hills or up steep highway ramps. 2010 Mazda 3 i touring I had the TCM sent off and repaired after no communication U0101 code occurred. Installed the TCM yesterday, checked the fluid level all good, no CEL codes occurring. I drive the car and the transmission slips around 3 or 4th gear. Transmission corrects itself. AT light briefly comes on but no CEL or OBD codes. I took my car to get the brakes inspected cause it was making a grinding type of noise whenever I came to a stop, and this is what the shop said about my brakes. They recommended getting new front rotors because it's possible that when I got my front and rear pads replaced in Dec 2019, the pads and rotors weren't machined and the noise can be coming from an imbalance with the pads and rotors. Hey all, This is my first post here do apologies if I'm doing something wrong. Yesterday I checked the engine and I saw what seems like the egr valve unplugged. I have no CIL, but I scanned anyway and no codes showed up. Today before going to work I found some tape around the plug. I took the tape out and plugged it back in the egr valve.
