89 mx-6 So I've got a CEL that comes on at freeway speeds. It will come on occasionally between 40-60mph, but that's pretty rare. Usually it comes on around 70mph. However it will turn off after a few minutes. Sometimes it'll turn off if I rev match down into 4th gear or speed up to 80mph, but it always turns off after a minute or so and if I've been driving long enough it won't even come back on. My MX6 2.0 started to leak oil into the distributor cap but was still running fine. I replaced the distributor with a new one from China, car ran fine for several months but started leaking oil into the cap again. The distributor was replaced under warranty but the car would start and idle but would not move and had no power. Scanned the system and it showed no codes and could not induce any codes. Greetings community, Here is my story. My friend purchased a 1988 mazda mx6 gt when they first came out. He recently passed away at 49 years old. I was shocked when my friends father called me to say he was cleaning out my friends storage buildings, and there was a car in it.
