I had to do it! It’s a really nice bow. Seems like a slow start for sales to me. I realize the price is steep but it looks like it delivers. If the riser is not on anyones radar, the limbs should be. They are quite nice. If anyone is interested in any info I’d be happy to share ..read more

It has been hot....very, very, very hot where I live. It has been a heat spell like I never experienced since moving to the coastal facing side of my local area.
Since I was going to be hunkering down for a few days I decided to build some of the strings that I have been putting off.
In fact, I almost ordered strings from 60X to avoid having to make my own.
I brought all my string making equipment into my living room where it has resided for the last three days, and will probably stay...

After practicing tonight everything is tuned perfect, for giggles I screwed a 200 gr broadhead on the arrow and shot at 30 yards, 6” right.
I expected a weak spine since I normally shoot 150 gr heads and 75 gr in/out adapter, 31” carbon to nock throat 43#@28”
so my question is going 50 grains up in point/broadhead weight how much should I trim the 400 spine arrow.
I have a shaft that’s cut 1” shorter and will try
So out of curiosity do you think 1” will be to stiff or still weak.
Will...

Just curious how others view the use of their tiller bolts.
I started off using them to set poundage, which in my 20s meant to crank them down all the way to get as much weight as I could from the limbs. The faster the better, right?
When I started tinkering and tuning more, I used them strictly for tuning purposes. I would set them at the middle range and only change them if I needed to make the arrow weaker or stiffer. For example, I'd offset a change in brace height, point weight, nock...

I plan to be occupying one of my favorite spots in the AM. I'll be in a nice tall Xenex pop-up blind . I have two shooting lanes. A shot is likely at less than 10 yards. For the first time in about 7 years I don't intend to be picky.
Be using my 17" Border Covert Hunter with Short CV5 limbs that are only 37#s at my draw length but shoot the same FPS as my "late" 43# Black Widow Carbon PSA. Easton Traditional Carbon arrows, with 4" fletch, cut to 29" pointed with 125 grain Iron Will...

I have had TP for many years and have made many posts related to TP. I have worked Jim Casto’s program and even now always do holding drills when I shoot.
I can make great shots when I’m concentrating on pulling and aim subconsciously. I try to keep my mind on pulling my elbow around. My goal is to think “elbow, elbow, elbow” and the release occurs as soon as I concentrate on pulling my elbow around. My problem is that I struggle to control my thoughts on every shot. If my mind wanders at...
